Retailers make about 3 bucks on a new game. Hence why Gamestop pushes thos used games
because after processing costs its all profit. I work in the Gaming dept at Best Buy so that is where I learned that from.

I bought fallout 3 and New Vegas brand new an dropped the money for each expansion. I do not in the least feel like I was cheated. I bought Skyrim on day one and will gladly buy each DLC as they come out because If I end up paying about 100 bucks for
Skyrim and it's DLC I will still feel like it was worth it because I know that I'll have hundreds of hours of gameplay. When I average about a dollar per hour of gameplay I don't feel ripped off
whatsoever. It's when I pay 60 on a game and its over in 20 hours that I feel like a fool.

The only thing these guys did that I liked was the updated Metal Gear Solid for the GameCube. Too Human felty clunky and awful. X-men Destinty sounds like an absolutely ridiculous concept for a marvel game. I get to mix and match mutant powers as I playthough? Did SK ever read an X-Men comic? The whole concept sounded like they watch X-Men Origins Wolverine and saw the "Deadpool" travesty of a character with his mix and match powers and decided "This would be an awesome game!"

It is sad to see people lose their jobs. But I feel that if they put out quality games they probably wouldn't get dropped from publishers or would have enough capital that they could publish their own stuff.

@agentkuo I especially think that the way they seem to have done Arkham City with the vast amount of villains tearing up parts of the city could be very intriguing as a spider-man game. Put all of spidey's baddest villains in New York and have spidey navigate the city finding interesting an creative ways of stopping them. I think it would work nicely.

I know I'm in the minority here. But I am tired of "free-roaming" being the quintessential ingredient that people need from a spider-man game. I am a diehard Spider-Man fan. Not just as a gamer; but as a person who loves the character. Beenox may not of had free roaming in Shattered Dimensions, but it had fan service all around it. Written by an actual Spider-man comic author, four different spider-men voiced by actual spider-man voice actors. Paying homage to four different comic book incarnations of the character. But all anyone cared about was "OMG IT DON'T HAVE FREEROAM!!!" So what? I'd rather play a game that portrays the characters correctly and tells a fun story than being the same copycat clone time after time. How many free roam Spider-man games do you really need? Yes Spider-man 2 broke the mold and was a delight to finally realize that dream of "doing anything a spider can." But every attempt after that felt lacking to me because it was the same old thing. Ultimate spider-man had a great story and art style. But the free roam in it felt tired and it was incredibly short. Spider-man 3 was glitchy and terrible. Web of Shadows had a horrible voice actor for spider-man and the story was stupid. I was hyped for that game and horribly disappointed. Shattered Dimensions was a fresh attempt at something new and I laughed throughout it because the plucky smart mouthed web slinger that I always loved was in a game.

I haven't played Edge of Time. Not interested in the recycled concept of SD. The spider-man game I want... Spider-man meets Mirror's Edge ala the Theatrical trailer for the movie. Who is with me?!

Nintendo should just hand anything they won't do in house to Retro. Then I could say the world would be a happy place.
