Indie Royale Valentine's Bundle offers a treat without the calories
Feb 8th 2012 7:58AM (Joystiq)Nope. Xotic is in a different bundle called the Be Mine bundle, and Indie Royale generally doesn't do repeats. http://groupees.com/bemine

Feb 8th 2012 12:41AM (Joystiq)Hoard definitely. I'm leaning towards Zeno Clash for the first title. I've heard Lume floated around for the IGF nominated puzzle game, and that makes a lot of sense. Not sure about the two world premieres, those are usually tricky to guess.
Space (and other) Quests half off on GOG this weekend

Jan 28th 2012 12:42AM (Joystiq)Also working on Unstoppable Gorg and Evochron Mercenary, which are also very cool. It's an indie titles on Steam weekend.
Paradox Interactive announces A Game of Dwarves, reveals new Magicka concepts

I kid because I love.
Paradox announces 'A Game of Dwarves,' coming this year
Jan 20th 2012 3:44PM (Joystiq)Dwarfs!? is already a game, but this sounds more like a more advanced management style game. That one was more of a puzzle game with a dwarven theme painted on.
Same dev though, so I imagine that there will be a lot of similarity. But think of it like a sequel.

Jan 20th 2012 1:06PM (Joystiq)There are dwarves in Morrowind (and Skyrim to a lesser extent), but they're extinct. You still get to explore awesome dwarven steampunk ruins, and there's a ton of mysterious lore surrounding them. I love archeology so I like how they used dwarves in the Elder Scrolls.

Jan 20th 2012 12:52PM (Joystiq)Dear Esther is looking especially sharp after being put through the Portal 2 engine
Jan 18th 2012 9:22PM (Joystiq)I know how engines work. Source is nearly two years older then Unreal 3. Even then, I find Source games are starting to feel dated even with the constant updates. The graphics aren't spectacular anymore (facial expressions aside) and the physics that felt so cool in Half Life 2 feel wonky today.
It was mindblowing when it came out. The incremental updates helped. It's had a good life. But when is the last time you were wowed by the graphics in a Source engine title?
I'd just like to see a real overhaul, not constant 100mb TF2 patches tweaking the lighting. Unreal 3 was not always Unreal 3; there was a 1 and 2 before.
Gearbox reveals its new real-world Lilith model for Borderlands 2
Jan 18th 2012 9:13PM (Joystiq)The casting call explicitly said the model was there to fulfil a similar role to the angel in the first game. It was very specific about it.
