Ubuntu One anyone?
Ugh, this is just another open source alternative we don't need. Dropbox works excellent, is free, and doesn't sell my private data. What more could I possibly want?
Can open source folks like concentrate on a few areas (say office suites, or music server software) instead of going for the shotgun approach and nailing few things perfectly?

Incas would be fun, but if you were to do the empire at its height it be at the exact same time period of ACII in Renaissance Italy (15th-16th century AD). I mean I guess you could do when Pizzaro came in the late 1500's, and be a Spanish assassin.

To all that think otherwise- Um no egypt did not have a lot of cities in either the Old, Middle, or Last Kingdom. If it represented anything it was more of a farm collective with a central administration along the Lower Nile (actually northern Egypt) with some degree of independent ownership. We know almost nothing about even the small towns btw, but there certainly wasn't any large cities. If you want large cities in the ancient world look at the Mayans or the Greeks.

Nah they still exist as they always did. Sometimes you have to use a magnet link, but that's the only hiccup. Still a great source for major releases. It's weird that the media makes everyone think that Pirate Bay is dead.

Ugh, if H.264 is so much better why the hell doesn't Google just buy the codec, open source it, and make life easier. It had to cost them millions to encode all those youtube videos. It's not like they have a shortage of money.

I concur. It's like Zipper has given up on MAG. It's just not as supported or used as I had hoped it to be. I still spend more time in Uncharted 2 online just because I want to hop into an active game. Shame though, the tech behind it is so excellent.

It's a dick move but it makes sense. Apple has the largest platform. Apple users pay the most for apps. Thus Apple should get only the best local apps.

I'd disagree with it not because of the whole "open platform stuff" or limiting creativity, but because for a lot of apps basic functionality is *good enough*. If the app is just about presenting some aggergated material, does it really make a difference to the end user if it were a 100% native app? Then I guess you could use a web app, but its nice to have that full app wrapper feel.

No they don't pay them but they do get better than normal coverage because they are very selective with who gets one for a early review. So yeah, if they had given one to Gizmodo or Engadget early then the review consensus wouldn't be very positive.

You realize that you can just assign a 3rd or 4th Mouse button in preferences to go to spaces?

I use button 3 for Expose, and button 4 for Spaces, (and button 5 for show desktop). It really works flawlessly on Macs and linux boxes.
Warp seems nice for more Compiz style effect.
