I'm a guitarrist, and I'm learning to play the drums...
And I play a hell of a lot of guitar hero.
I never understood all this angst guitar players have towards the game...
It's like it's a favorite hobby, about a favorite hobby. So I can play guitar and video game at the same time...
I really don't see why I should get pissed off

If Will Wright is working on Spore, and i'm guessing full-time, who's in charge of this SimCity? This is going to suck bad is Wright is not there to run things

Senile or not, when the man who made 3 games that got platinum score on Famitsu says he'd like to make a weird game like that, I bet you it would be good

I still don't get what makes a game a "game for gamers" or a "casual game" (thus "teh kiddie")

It surely isn't complexity, 'cause I figured Gears of Wars out in about 5 seconds ("All right, aim for the head)... and took maybe 30 to get fully used to the controls. Hexic took exaclty the same time.

It isn't the amout of time you spend on it, since addiction to a game vary a lot from person to person. Nintendogs and Guitar Hero would be kings of adult games.

It isn't the game size, since Zelda:WW had about 40hrs of game, while Max Payne 2 only took about 6hrs to finish.

It isn't thematics, 'cause than Oblivion would be as kiddie as Wind Waker.

That only leaves with curse words, gore and graphics...
Nice, and here I was, thinking I was a gamer just because I like to play games, bloody or not, shiny or not...

I have nothing against the X360. If I could afford 2 consoles, I'd definitely buy it.
(I don't like the PS3 mainly because of Sony's acts)
But I really don't get where around 96 Mario became not cool and suxx0r...
We're GAMERS, we like GAMES, not bloom effects. We play EVERYTHING, despite of its looks...

I refuse to dislike Gears of Dead Rising just because I want to play Cooking Mama.
And I'll be damned if I'm not allowed to think Wind Waker is the most awesome game ever just because I love my Half-Life 2...
