You don't need to buy anything to use this offer. You just take your old iPhone (or any other phone or MP3 device) to the Shack and they determine how much it's worth (up to the max amount listed on that URL above). If you take their offer, they give you a Radio Shack gift card.

The iPhone 3GS 32GB is selling on eBay right now for between $300 - $350, and RS will pay up to $301.33 for that model. The amount they ACTUALLY pay you depends on the condition and the RS employee who appraises it.

I may swing by the local RS today and see what they will pay me for my iPhone 3GS 32GB. I can post the result here if anyone is interested.

I just ordered my frontpoint alarm system after reading this blog post (and many hours of research). I actually spoke to the same rep that Lauren spoke to and she was extremely helpful and made sure that I was only getting the items that are best for my home (not their bottom line). I also spoke to another gentleman yesterday that answered about 12 questions. He was very friendly and patient even knowing that I wasn't going to order the system during that call. So far I can really see that they take their customer service very seriously. As other commenters mentioned, part of the $40 per month is for the excellent customer service. Like most people, I've had my share of painful conversations with rude customer service reps so I have no problem paying a premium for that "extra mile" that makes me feel like I'm a valued customer. Anyway, I can't wait to get my new system!

My prediction for Septembers new product is a wifi (or some kind of wireless) iSight. The iSight will work with the iPhone and iPod Touch wirelessly. I think that is why they didn't improve the built-in camera in the iPhone 3g. The old iSight is no longer available in stores...

It's gonna take a lot more than a pack of gum to get 1 million signatures.

I was just thinking this exact same thing a couple of days ago. There have been many nights that my wife and I considered renting a movie but we were not confident that we would be awake for the duration. We also knew that there would not be enough time the following evening before the kids go to bed.

Please, please, please Apple - I would rent SO many more movies if we only had 48 hours.
