I painted my case cause (I'll be damned) I thought the console would last me more than 6 months of light use...So I couldn't get it replaced :[

I don't see how the XMB is any more difficult to navigate than the 360s?

The Xbox 360 menu was fine I guess, but that was only when my console didn't have the red lights and before I stripped it and sold the parts on ebay to all the other poor saps with busted 360s.

I almost like the fact it doesn't appeal to the mainstream, but of course I realize that isn't good for Sony or me for that matter.

Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean the people doing it are stupid.
