Obama Called For Jury Duty; Told Court 'Would Not Be Able To Serve'

Jan 28th 2010 11:52AM (Politics Daily)
mr3ts>> All you've done by pointing out those socialist programs is give us another reminder why unions have gone too far and are in fact bad. After they created fair workplaces they weren't needed anymore, this isn't the industrial revolution. Instead of making sure some overpaid lazy bastard gets another week of vacation on top of the crapload he has already because he's paying some mob patsy to twist his boss' arm, how about we focus on places like Walmart that actually DO mistreat employees!?

Parents Television Council Objects to 'Gossip Girl' Threesome, But Will Anyone Listen?

Nov 8th 2009 3:57PM (Inside TV Blog)
Ok, here's an idea. Don't let your kid watch Gossip Girl. Cripes, if your kid's young enough for you to control their Television they shouldn't be watching gossip girl anyways. I think the show is stupid and trashy but I'm not gonna boycott them, I just won't watch them. Problem solved, yay!

Cries for Help Not Always Answered

Nov 1st 2009 2:03PM (Sphere Lite)
Somehow we had to blame video games? People, just because there are violent video games doesn't mean that you're gonna view the real thing as entertainment. The only reason the bystander effect exists is because people are cowards and we live in a permissive society. It's more politically correct to stand and watch than it is to intervene. If I walked up and started beating the hell out of someone I caught raping someone else I'd probably get thrown in jail or sued or both. Unfortunately shouting "no, stop you bad man!" doesn't work on violent offenders and slimy lawyers make their boat payments this way. Welcome to our modern world of understanding and tolerance.

Antiwar Activists Reawaken as Obama Weighs Afghanistan Strategy

Oct 31st 2009 9:43AM (Politics Daily)
1: Soldiers signed on knowing full well they might fight. Whether they agree or disagree with the war they're fighting in they're volunteers, they're not being drafted and forced into combat roles. So as much as I respect and worry about their safety, they have no reason to speak out and doing so dishonors them and shames their branch of the service. Hell, less people who WERE drafted bitched about it. So protest the war all you want, but don't use the "bring them home" crap as your excuse. Send kevlar to the soldiers if you're worried about them, otherwise it's obvious you're more concerned for the enemy. After all, a political pop star like Obama is gonna make dumb decisions to hold onto his approval rating and fanbase, he won't make them based on reality.

2: I hope Mr. Obama has fun with the protestors. If anti-bush/anti-war criticism starts flying his way it'll make me smile.

Casting of Abigail Breslin as Helen Keller Angers Deaf, Blind Groups

Oct 30th 2009 9:20AM (PopEater)
Seriously? People, not everything is a slap in the face. I had no idea the blind/deaf community was so sensitive, I thought they were more reasonable than that. A play is a lot more challenging for a blind/deaf actor to participate in, hell for the blind it can be downright dangerous with all the props and set changes moving about right where everyone walks.

Taylor Swift Caught in Swastika Scandal

Oct 30th 2009 3:55AM (PopEater)
Rhett>> Stop baiting, you know that's not what Jrock meant. Hitler used a symbol of peace because in his deluded mind he was working for "the greater good". Clearly he was insane and in no way does Jrock's post, (assuming you read it and don't just spaz out like a child), condone or excuse Hitler's actions or claim he was misunderstood.

Taylor Swift Caught in Swastika Scandal

Oct 30th 2009 3:49AM (PopEater)
MeMan>> Honestly? You think of the hundred people or so she took pics with she took the time to step back and check their shirts for something offensive each time? "Hold on, gotta check your shirt for scandal!" Get real, I can barely read what's on peoples' novelty shirts half the time unless I ask them to stop moving so I can read, what makes you think at a casual sideways glance she's gonna know exactly what's on the shirt? I wouldn't be surprised if she never even got a full view of him from the front. You tell me exactly what's on a hundred peoples' shirts tomorrow and be 100% correct and then talk, I bet you won't even remember 10.

Jon Gosselin Not Dating Octo-Mom for TV

Oct 28th 2009 5:18PM (PopEater)
Everyone wants to jump all over Jon cause it's socially mandatory to blame the man and pity the woman. I couldn't even watch their show because of how badly she treated that man, all I could do was wince and leave the room in disgust while others watched it. That was on TV with cameras rolling so I'm sure when they were off she was even worse.

This dude got hosed royally, treated like garbage, and people were surprised he was cheating on psycho witch there? (Mind you, I'm in no way implying it was ok for him to cheat, just not shocking.)

She needs to be off the air and those kids need a real life. If you ask me, they should be taken away and sent to live with dad while she gets counseling. The worst part for this guy is that everyone keeps coming up with these rumors about him that he denies and we never see come true, but people believe them because he's "the evil male". Grow up ladies, the real feminists who fought for womens' rights would be ashamed of you and disgusted with her.

Video: Levi Johnston Says He's Holding Back 'Huge' Things About Sarah Palin

Oct 28th 2009 5:01PM (Politics Daily)
Levi's a slimeball. I don't care which side of the political fence you're on. He's obviously after his 15 minutes and I'm sure there's no end of partisans who are more than happy to help him via their checkbooks. I have a funny feeling his kid won't see a dime of his gutter money, which is probably for the better because no child needs that filth coming near them. If he was really shut out of his kids life he could go to court, if he was really hurt he wouldn't be making a public spectacle of himself. He's the Paris Hilton of politics, he's famous for being famous and that's it.

Sexiest Sci-Fi Women in TV History

Oct 28th 2009 12:53PM (Inside TV Blog)
Dollhouse is not Sci-fi. It's not even that good. Whedon had a chance to revive Firefly and turned it down to make that crap. He wouldn't even let someone else do it for him when they offered to buy the rights and revive the show. Epic fail Joss, epic fail. We're back to Buffy style crap once again.
