I'm glad I'm not the only person who is hoping this can be an antidote to DXHR. I loved the WilliamGibson/Shadownrun feel of the world in 'Deus Ex'—it totally caught the vibe from the first one—but I'm with the "If I'm Not Snake, I Don't Wanna Sneak" crowd. Either let me sneak 100% the game with viable offensive options when necessary, or let my sneaking be just the littlest part of the shock-and-awe to come! 'Future Solder', it damn well WILL be the future by the time you deploy!

Loving the comments here! Glad to see there's so much excitement---I'm hoping we get a localization, and I'm excited that I think the game mechanics lends easily to an untranslated import copy, if it comes down to that!

Thank you, PS1. You are as insightful as to the gestalt of this as your hardware was to a generation of gamers learning to live outside the shadow of Sega and Nintendo. Does 'Visual Studio' need Achievements? Of course not? Is it a clever way to teach ideas to new users, something applicable damn well everywhere? Absolutely. Surprisingly clever from Microsoft.

Am I looking in (Alderaan) the wrong places? Isn't there usually a PSN update for Tuesday launches, as well? From the Playstation Blog to here, I can't seem to get much information on whether there's any good deals out there for the PS3 or PSP. I've been buying digital versions of beloved PSP games when they're on sale, in preparation of putting them on the PS Vita when it comes out, in case there's no UMD Passport for those of us in the Land Of The Brave*. No deals, Joystiq?

* Have you heard what the Land Of The Rising Sun got? Register the UMD via PSP, get a deep discount on PSN for the same game? That's brilliant!

Joystiq, I appreciate the strikethrough markup over the invalid text; that's just smart. I had originally read the article over at Destructoid, and felt that sense of deja vu reading it here. Strikethrough markup is an excellent way to clearly delineate the old information from the update.

Thanks, Pluupy, that's at least reassuring to hear. As much as AOL is desperate to redefine themselves as an online destination, compounding errors like spam control really jar one from the experience. Especially in an article as specific and esoteric as this one (versus the content of other Joystiq articles).

Are a lot of accounts being hacked of late? I'm surprised there's not more spam control on Joystiq/AOL's side.

Although, I do plan on buying through retail for most of my games, definitely at the beginning. The cost savings through Amazon or BestBuy Online will totally justify re-purchasing games I love through the PSN, if they're memcard worthy. That way I think I can make the wee 8GB card stretch large enough to manage all my needs.
