I just got a promotional packet for Resistance, w/ a poster and stuff, so I'm not surprised to hear this news.

blah, have the original *arcade* version on my xbox. As good as these games were, they are not worth playing again.

The PS3's bluray will enable much higher res FMV shots, as well as the hours upon hours of license free video footage that plays on televisions within the game. There was a story about this several months ago.

I noticed the error in the mag myself. It's funny actually because the article in GI doesn't even mention anything specific about systems, much less 'achievements' or something that would lead you to believe they were talking about the 360. I'd like to know if and when Mercenaries is going to 360, if it will be a ground up job or a port?

Either way, I'm getting the PS3 version for sure.

waiting for the price of a console to go down is idiotic. Most gamers waste money on every high profile game that comes out on a given system anyways, instead of sticking with a select few titles on each system.

I think the demo is amazing, graphically. If anything it really amazes since this is merely an update to gt4, so I can only imagine what GT5 will look like. The game is stunning, and as always, the driving does not try to "fool" the player by giving you a false sense of speed like some other racers I know.

I pointed the flub out to my wife when I saw the commercial. Like she cares... she's usually too busy feeding her dogs on the DS she stole from me. Good riddance.

Dropping prices on ebay PS3's does not equate to dropping demand for PS3's in general, it just means people are not going to be willing to pay out the nose for a system they can find more and more commonly in your local EB or Gamestop. I have a PS3, and I had a Wii on order, but I cancelled it because I just didn't see many games I wanted right now, not even Zelda. You guys make it sound like the PS3's are going straight in the trash or something; they're not, us gamers are enjoying them right now, and whether or not someone trades a wii for a PS3 is irrelevant. If I had a wii right now I'd probably sell it/trade it too, as the games are crap and the profit margin is ok, although after today, it's going to be nada.

The Wii is just the gamecube equivalent of the slim PStwo with a redesigned wavebird with motion sense tech and an updated OS. The Wii will probably suffer the same fate as the gamecube did and remain unique but underwhelming.

to all the "no online?" whiners on here, name one good fighting game that has a competent online mode.
