Jun 22nd 2009 2:26PM (Joystiq)(real comment) It better be faster! There is no conceivable reason that a download button on the guide should take as long to appear than the content actually takes to download, and recovering gamertags should not be a fifteen minute process.
Confirmed: New Xbox 360 Arcade systems have 512 MB on-board memory
Jun 18th 2009 8:26PM (Joystiq)Confirmed: New Xbox 360 Arcade systems have 512 MB on-board memory
Jun 18th 2009 4:17PM (Joystiq)Since I already own a hard drive, I don't need this puny onboard memory chip. Since I haven't bought an overpriced external 360 memory card, I would have gotten more use out of that had it been included (for transferring gamer tags to consoles of friends), and expected it since it was referenced on the box.
Finally, this onboard memory is just barely enough to get connected to XBox Live and can potentially hold personal information (like credit card info, address, etc) that can't be wiped, backed up, or removed from the console if (when) it needs to be sent away for repairs.
I personally think this is a backwards move for the Arcade.
