Killzone 3 welcomes back players with double XP
May 21st 2011 10:38PM (Joystiq)I played a couple of matches and the end multiplier is still set at 1.5 and points gained during the match are still standard. I agree with Sir Darque; I just don't see double XP.

May 14th 2011 3:04AM (Joystiq)Buy Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition from Capcom, get evil Bobble Budds
May 4th 2011 1:56PM (Joystiq)The DLC shall be priced at 15 dollars and for what its worth, its pretty much a steal. Revamped online features, 4 characters, New Titles and Icons and I can only assume to be a couple of Achievements/trophies. Also if you feel you that AE wasn't a good investment; there will be an option to switch versions and return to Super.
The forty dollar price tag is for the disk base release for those who haven't jumped on the Super wagon and now thinking of hopping on but if you have super just download the DLC. unless you prefer to have hard copies of your content then as KiDPANDA so eloquently states; just wait until it hits the bargain bin which won't take long.
Also on Mortal Kombat, All I can say is; pick it up and you won't regret it. Very good game.

May 1st 2011 3:38AM (Joystiq)For those who wanted Sony to talk about adding features to the network need to understand that the conference was to address the issue and reassure consumers that they are taking steps to strengthen security. The talk of features will come at a later time say "E3".
Sony you just restore you online service and continue to supply Users great triple A Titles.

Gamasutra examines a PlayStation brand in crisis
Apr 30th 2011 3:26AM (Joystiq)Indeed, you have read my mind and I'm just sharing my thoughts on this. After reading the article I was left a little puzzled, trying to understand if the writer was trying to actually prove a valid point or venting but steering the entirety of the blame towards Sony is somewhat irrational and the last line of this article indicates this. lets not forget the criminals of this situation are the Hackers, who stole private information for the benefit of selling that information for profit.
As the argument of Sony being at fault might holds some truths. There could've been a flaws in the network; Sony's skills of handling of private information might be lacking, or the Hackers could be just that damn good. this is surely debatable but we can all agree that Sony did not expected or wanted this to happen. Yes I can say that Sony when disconnecting the network should put out a memo quickly stating they were investigating an "external intrusion" but better late than never. since this debacle Sony has taken said steps.
1) Entirely rebuilding the network infrastructure from the ground up while also strengthening its security.
2) Informed users of said incident while providing tips on what to do.
3) Periodically updating their progress to users via the PS blog.
4) Bringing in a Government's federal bureau of investigation to conduct a search for the criminals.
5) Possible Compensation for network outage to users.
Indeed Sony has faults but as of now they are handling the situation with the up most care so users may return to enjoy online gaming once again.
