Gran Turismo 5 offers option to install while you play

Nov 19th 2010 8:01PM (Joystiq)
No, it doesn't offer the option to install "while you play" it offers the option to install parts of the data on-demand.

No matter what option you choose you're going to be waiting around for 50 minutes.

Capcom announces MotoGP 10/11, coming March 2011

Any reason you guys have posted about this game and not F1 2010, which is based on a far more popular racing series?

Winners of Superstars V8 Racing contest to receive Gran Turismo 5

This game is actually very good and was a retail release in Europe.

It's based on the Superstars racing series from Italy - basically a bunch of privateers and wealthy types hire a professional driver and go racing.

It's well worth $19.99 and the gameplay is far more fun than anything I've ever experienced in a GT title so far.

F1 2010 was released THIS YEAR by this very company. Why no coverage Joystiq?

It was easily good enough to warrant a review.

Is Activision determined to drive its best studio - Bizarre Creations - into the ground?

They came up with Blur - easily the best arcade racing game of the past few years and thanks to no real marketing effort from parent co, it tanks.

Same thing happens this week with 007 Blood Stone, outsold by a remake of a decade old game on a console which is barely superior to the machine on which it made its debut.

Gran Turismo 5 takes the Red Bull X1 prototype for a spin

@P4523

Of course GT5 is going to take longer to develop than F1 2010 - a game with hundreds of cars is always going to take longer than one which is only ever going to have 24.

For me, a game which is fun to play will always win over a game that has a lot of content but which is less fun to play. The sense of speed and handling are far superior to anything GT has ever presented in the past.

Gran Turismo 5 takes the Red Bull X1 prototype for a spin

Okay Joystiq, you posted something with Sebastian Vettel in it, but why, why, why have you completely avoided posting anything about F1 2010?

In my opinion it's easily the best sim driving game of the past few years. It's far more exciting than Forza or Gran Turismo and it's based on the highest profile racing series in the world.

So, why no review or coverage whatsoever?

Gran Turismo 5 won't be home for Christmas?

Oct 21st 2010 11:34AM (Autoblog)
The EU PlayStation blog already said this fresh delay meant that it would still make it before Christmas.

Much more reliable source than these general retailers.

The Shoot taking aim at Oct. 19 North American debut

The company that makes this game is based in Dundee, UK and laid off a bunch of staff recently, just like its neighbor Realtime Worlds.
