Sony reveals two PlayStation Suite-compatible Android tablets

Apr 26th 2011 10:04AM (Joystiq)
It all comes down to the OS in these things: they could be the coolest piece of hardware ever, but--much as we saw with the PS3 at launch--if the OS is lousy, people will stick with their "old" stuff. (side note: XMB still sucks, just not as much as it did 5 years ago)

Wow, this feed sucks--what's up Joystiq?

SONY could deliver sequels and Cross-game chat, and I'd be as happy as a pig in poop.

I'd call my giant sword "Ludwig's Wit".

Why? Because there's nothing sharper. Nothing.

Why are the Friends list members encased in long, gray boxes--there's not even an functionality added to them, so why make them so gaudy? I expected some new features to be added to the redesigned Friends List but, sadly, nothing.

Review: King of Fighters XII

Jul 31st 2009 3:50PM (Joystiq)
Only 6 stages = major fail.

KoF XII should've been a $20 title on PSN / XBLA, especially because it's so slim on content. It's moves likes this that make me empathetic towards SNK's future.

Far Cry 2 bugs squashed on 360, 'Hardcore Mode' added

May 12th 2009 12:59PM (Joystiq)
I hope the bug they're "fixing" is the infamous "88% bug". I got hit with this one, and it pretty much sent my 30+ hours of game time straight down the toilet.

I loved this game until I wasn't able to finish it because of the save file bug, so I promptly sold my copy and will be forever skeptical of Ubisoft.

Man, can't wait for this: open-world games + super heroes - GTA-style frustration = EPIC WIN.

Joystiq Review: Killzone 2 (multiplayer)

Mar 11th 2009 4:02PM (Joystiq)
I'm so glad that there's no vehicles: the gameplay works incredibly well without them, especially with the multitude of classes. IMHO, adding vehicles would only serve to draw people's attention away from the fantastic gunplay and diverse class system.

I do agree, however, that the lack of any type of Party System is pretty much inexcusable, especially after seeing how much said system benefited CoD4 and R2. It's odd that KZ2 gets so much right in the details, yet left out something so immediately noticeable.

BTW, I freekin' love the mid-match gametype changing--it makes the whole experience so seamless and addicting.
