Obama: Entire federal fleet purchases to be alt-fuel by 2015
Apr 1st 2011 10:31PM (Autoblog)NOTHING out there can compete with the ICE automobile on price. NOTHING not even comes close.
And they won't for a very long time.
You can dream that physics will be re-written to make these alternate fuel vehicles work better then ICE, but I can also wish for a unicorn.
At least I'm adult enough to understand I'm never getting a unicorn. Why can't you greenies realize playing around with alternate fuel vehicles is a waste of money?
As fast as you can improve batteries, or build hydrogen plants, we can make ICE better and build more oil refineries more cheaply.
Obama: Entire federal fleet purchases to be alt-fuel by 2015
Apr 1st 2011 10:25PM (Autoblog)You realize Obama has made the federal government so huge he has more deficit in 2 months then Bush did in an entire year?
Seriously, this guy is worse then a woman with an AMEX card. He thinks as long as it swipes he can buy it.
When our economy sucks for 10 years like Japan's has people will realize he was THE worse president in modern history, even over Jimmy Carter.
PS. when they can't afford to fix these types of vehicles because the tech is to expensive, guess what they will be buying to replace them with in less than 2 years?
Hyundai Blue2 fuel cell concept brings 'Intersected Flow' design to Seoul
Apr 1st 2011 10:20PM (Autoblog)You can't add an odor to the hydrogen for use in a fuel cell, so you could have a car leaking HYDROGEN into an enclosed garage, or underground parking structure...
Has anyone told the auto industrie's lawyers about this? I'm guessing not.
Report: PR guy behind Chrysler Twitter debacle gets new job
Apr 1st 2011 10:01PM (Autoblog)This guy should NEVER have tweeted for a client on anything other then a secure company owned device that had ZERO personal logins or apps on it.
It was his and his companie's fault for not doing that.
Report: Fund oversight panel says jury still out on auto bailouts
Mar 19th 2011 5:16PM (Autoblog)I'm fine if it takes GM and Chrystler 20-30 years to pay us back, with interest.
But there's ZERO chance we should "write off" any of this.
And as far as letting the banks etc fail, the Fed chairman broke the law. They gave his buddies free money and continues to do it at OUR expense.
If a couple of banks need to fail to make them all realize they aren't going to get $1 for $1 then let some fail.
Any other time in history these banks would have written off loses and or sold bad assets for pennies on the dollar.
But our current government are all in the back pocket of the financial industry.
We need to make it ILLEGAL for any Lawyers to become congress persons or work in the administration, unless thier job is specificly to be a lawyer for the administration.
Until the US citizens do something about this we are doomed.
We cause our own rich getting richer economic devide by putting people in power that work for the financial industry.
Video: Fired NMS employee speaks out about errant F-bomb on Chrysler Twitter account
Mar 19th 2011 5:07PM (Autoblog)Most companies that have big accounts and deal with huge corporations make sure to seperate business from personal devices.
Either the company he works for screwed up and let employees do this, or the guy screwed up and used his personal equipment to do it.
I'd guess the latter.
Spy Shots: 2012 Ford Taurus SHO spotted in the wild - are there 400 horses underhood?
Mar 13th 2011 2:32PM (Autoblog)Ford better be doing a ground up chassis re-design to get 1000lbs out of it.

Mar 13th 2011 2:06PM (Autoblog)Australia has 22,587,395 people California has 36,457,549. So it's a little bit of bullocks to say manufacturer's can't meet what California wants.
I really think manufacturers need to step it up and build the right cars for the right places.
If the people of California want clean air, they will have to pay for it.
If Montana want's trucks why shouldn't they get that?
We are in a new era of manufacturing. Smaller runs of vehicles are very possible and very profitable with manufacturing technologies of today.
On the other hand, you can't just "wish" for a unicorn car that get's 100mpg, no emissions and costs $12,000. It's not rocket science. And if California ends up making have and have not auto ownership because they price cars out of affordability they will have to live with that.
Study: Pontiac drivers mainly sticking with GM
Mar 13th 2011 1:52PM (Autoblog)GM only has so many years to come out with something I'd like before I have to replace it.
Good Luck!
Sirius XM 2.0 to bring pause, repeat and record functionality
Feb 20th 2011 4:50PM (Translogic)Try and find a Sirius radio, you can't. They have basicly stopped making them, stopped selling them, stopped stocking them, stopped developing them.
I'm cancelling soon as my fading Stilletto gives up the ghost, I won't be blackmailed into buying a service worse and more expensive then what I have because they are not a monopoly.
