I'd like to start a list of alternative sites:

Eurogamer - biased towards Nintendo and forums populated by the most stupid people alive, but informative news and pretty up-to-date.

kikizo.com - I love this site. Hi-def images, movies and seemingly impartial news (so far!) mean that this site will most probably be replacing Joystiq as my favourite place for gaming news.

Does anyone have any others? Preferably with RSS feeds?

What makes me laugh is that while all you bitches are whining about the look of the characters not being realistic because the heads are a little too small compared to the bodies, you seem to have accepted that an equally-beefy alien race has been living deep inside the planet for years and has risen after a fictional human war without question. You've accepted the latter as you realise that this is a game - it's not real. Yet you whine like stuck pigs that the characters aren't real. Just wtf?

Pulse, I really doubt his opinion on Japanese people comes from the poor Xbox sales in Japan. If I'm brutally honest, I really doubt he gives a fuck about it - most normal people in this world have far more important things to worry about than how Microsoft's products are selling.

In this case an expression which originally meant "it would be impossible for me to care less than I do because I do not care at all" is rendered senseless by being transformed into the now-common "I could care less". Think about it: if you could care less, it means that you care some. People who misuse this phrase are just being careless.

I'd really like to see you replace the Enzo's seats alone for that much, let alone the bare-metal paintjob you'd need to get the car's colour truly identical. Nice try though, which is more than what I can say for the moron author of this absolutely pointless article.

That's good DoomFrog, but his argument is even worse than that - we have a white Wii costing X and an orange one (if memory serves) costing Y, but they're exactly the same otherwise. He says people will buy the white one because it's cheaper.

So, I'm in a Ferrari showroom and I'm ready to drop 150,000 on an Enzo. It's in classic Ferrari red with cream seats and red piping. Just as I'm about to hand over the cash the salesman tells me they have a brown one with green seats and orange piping for sale for a whole 20,000 less. Exactly the same except for the colours. Am I going to save myself a whole 20,000 and buy the shit-mobile like this idiot predicts or am I going to pay the extra 20 and drive out of there in the red one like someone who isn't a fucking idiot?

I think the answer's pretty obvious to be honest.

A shame Joystiq has people who are too stupid to see that working for them and posting bullshit articles all over the place.
