VC Friday: Bit.Trip: Beat plus the impossible

May 1st 2009 5:49PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
This game isn't even that hard, stop whining. Boo, you can't memorize a couple different patterns that repeat themselves. They purposely made some of the dots harder to see, such as the green ones. And I've never had a time when I couldn't see the purple ones. Also, I've never gotten through a level without getting a high score, I didn't know you needed to do this until I heard everyone whining about it because they suck at the game. Unless you're in Nether the whole time, you should be able to get last place.

They're not bad ideas, it's part of the challenge. Maybe if you stopped to appreciate a challenge, you wouldn't have to complain about it online.

Bit.Trip: Beat makes a Bit.Eurotrip this week

I could beat the first stage on my first try. It wasn't that hard. And after you get used to the patterns, the game is really easy, actually.

Looks more like a 10 dollar shovelware sale to me.

WiFi settings are stored on each cart, not the DS. DSi enhanced games are going to have more settings.

Missouri Police say adults shouldn't play Animal Crossing

Mar 18th 2009 3:12PM (Joystiq)
It's actually kind of ironic, because most adults play "kiddie" games, or the more childish ones. Yet, teens and little kids are more obsessed with mature games for mature gamers such as themselves.

Wii Warm Up: Downloadable regrets

Jan 4th 2009 5:37PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I didn't download any bad games, luckily. I have Homebrew on a 3.2U Wii, so I installed wads of the games as demos, and most of them sucked. I bought World of Goo, Tetris Party, Lost Winds, Toki Tori, and Megaman 9 + DLC. They were all great games, and I got my 10-15 dollar's worth out of them. Guys, Megaman 9 isn't really that hard. It's easier than MM2 and 3, at least. It just takes a bit of stage memorization, which shouldn't take that long, because you have the shop to buy E tanks and such. Also, Toki Tori was pretty fun, I liked the concept of it. World of Goo, I don't need to say anything for. Lost Winds was semi-dissappointing. It had a nice style and all, but got a little boring. It was still a good game, though. Tetris Party is also nice, I still play it every once in awhile.

Wii Warm Up: Gaming tantrums

Jan 1st 2009 1:48PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Ugh, Mario Kart. I've probably thrown out more swear words and thrown more controllers from MK games than anything else. If I could punch the idiot who made the blue turtle shell, I would.

MiWi2, for when you want something that vaguely looks like a Wii

There's a Wu. My brother saw one at Best Buy, they have "state of the art 16-bit graphics".

The obligatory 'What did you get?' post

Dec 25th 2008 2:09PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Mario Kart Wii, and AC:CF. I still haven't been to my Dad's yet, I'm hoping he got me De Blob. It's the only other game I've really wanted for the Wii, aside from WiiWare.
