I wasn't there, but as a current production assistant I do all I can to be courteous while doing my job. Performing a "freeze" on an area has to be one of the more tedious and tricky aspects of the job. This is because you have less than zero authority to fulfill the task you've been given, but failure noticed by the wrong people can ruin your chances to attain what very well might be a lifelong dream.

As a media professional who would prefer to take smaller (dimension-wise) devices into the field, this doesn't help too much.

As a consumer who would prefer to not be required to buy a new enclosure and drives every time a new inteface comes out (but naked drives seem wrong) I fully support this and with not only the utility in mind but the mentality behind this system.

I support this idea, and will vote for that fact with my money.

I'm so, so sorry. But that fake vignette is killing me. It's a good picture, but that vignette makes me very very sad. :-(

Seems like it would have been easier for the dude to edit his previous auction with a throwaway email address and price, first person to deliver the funds gets the stair and he stays anonymous.
