That's ridiculous, I - along with countless teens worldwide - was depressed long before the internet...and long before it was played up as a mental health issue.
If they offered something worthwhile, MAYBE people would buy it (though then there is still that whole 'already paying for monthly data service' hurdle they'd have to get over with iPad 3G owners).
The lease is decent, as is the tax credit. But that base price point is fairly high.
Especially given the fact that a non-electric car of a similar trim level would run you considerably less, and the difference in price may even be more than you'd spend on gas in the time it'd take to pay the Volt off after interest and possible extras (that is base, after all).
They might find a lot of people waiting for that lower priced model...hopefully that isn't riding on initial sales figures.
- Uncap the frame-rate. Figure it out. It negatively affects the entire UI. - Fix the light leakage. Hell, I'd rather those be hardware buttons anyway. Their proximity to both the screen and edges of the phone can be a problem sometimes. - Make even a slight effort in developing better battery technology and/or working on the overall efficiency of the device/UI/OS. I shouldn't have to go out of my way to ensure the phone makes it to the evening. - Go back to the drawing board with the camera, maybe consider taking a similar route as the iPhone 4. Just adding megapixels DOES NOT HELP. - Either HTC works out a better deal with Google to get OS updates out quicker or Google gets their UI act together so we don't have to rely on Sense. - A better stock music player/management system. - Let me delete the bullshit Sprint Apps.
I'm going to say, just like 90% of BSODs I've ever heard/read people bitching about or dealt with myself, it was user error. The screen should really just say, "You're doing something wrong, I had to stop before you completely fuck me up." Maybe then people would get it.
Study claims internet addicted teens more likely to suffer depression (sigh)
