As an Occupational Therapy student and a proud wii owner, this is very exciting for me. It makes sense and if I could combine helping people with my love for gaming, that would be awesome. Seriously, I could see health care professionals and game programmers working together to make a wii therapy game that could be used in hospitals and for patients to take home for home exercises.
Yes, we played a crap load of pikmin 2 together. She would always freak out when one died and start the day over. She also liked Wind Waker and whatching me play resident evil 4, I couldnt play unless she was there.
YES! I am so flippin excited. I loved Killer 7 and this looks so good. Yeah it doesn't show anything about the gameplay and it has corny-over-the-top dialogue. But if you played Killer 7 you will know that the game is more about presentation and the overall wierd stanely kubric vibe than the gameplay. And it is supposed to be over-the-top, that's what makes it so great. Another fresh game comin for the Wii.
"I can't think of one new game or third party game that is going to change that this time around for the console."
There are a lot actually. Besides Zelda there is metroid prime 3, dragon quest, final fantasy CC, super smash bros brawl, call of duty 3, sadness, super mario galaxy, sonic wildfire, project HAMMER, Excite Truck, Red Steel, Elebits, Tony Hawk,Super Monkey Ball, Madden, Rayman, Disaster Day of Crisis, resident evil.
Thats just some that fit your definition of home console games. On top of that I really think that definition is very limited. Console games should have every type of games including fun and simple and complex and immersive games. In fact, its harder to think of the simple quick games. All I can think of are the Wii sports, music, air games and wario ware smooth moves.
