SR3 is outperforming SR2 in almost every way--fiscally and critically--so it would be moronic to "cancel" a sequel. I loved SR2, but I'm also loving this installment. Yes, the story is a bit more outlandish (I agree), but the activities are the virtually the same, and the core gameplay mechanics are vastly improved. To each their own...

I sincerely hope you're wrong, though I have the same fears. I was really hoping for a Spring/Summer release, because the calendar gets so clogged in Fall. I loved the fact that GTAIV came out the time it did years ago.

Saints Row didn't exactly suffer--preorders were 4x higher than SR2, plus it had triple the sell-throughs of SR2. It's done extremely well, and they've already announced SR4. I think the aforementioned uDraw fiasco is more to blame for this conjecture, but I do heartily agree they deserve a chance.

I actually *kind of* found the current campaign to be slightly more memorable than MW2. That said, BO's campaign was better than both of them. Just my two cents...

They should simply go back to the west, and stick to a semi-linear campaign. Leave sandbox to Rockstar. There's no reason the market can't have 2 western themed games.
