The Queue: I'm for Deathwing

"Okay, so I know this really isn't a question, and you're commenting on shaman being patient. But I have to retort with two words: DOT shock."

Hmm, technically, I'd have to say that is 4 words, seeing as DOT is an acronym for damage over time. Check and mate.

Lichborne: The state of the patch 4.2 death knight

Very true, I never said Frost was terrible at movement fights, just simply less convenient than having a constant ghoul on something.

Lichborne: The state of the patch 4.2 death knight

Frost is great right now, but I would argue, for Firelands at least, Unholy comes out on top. There are very few bosses in Firelands where the DK is just sitting on one boss wacking at him. Movement is still a huge detriment to Frost DK's and it's proven that to me many times. On bosses like Rag P1, my DPS as frost jumps, but high movement fights like Shannox and Beth, seem to favor Unholy. I think this is because with the massive strength buff Unholy got, the pet is crazy good, so good that considering it's always going to be on a target, even if the DK is running around avoiding mechanics, the DK doesn't lose too much DPS at all. This is all just from my personal experience, I'm not sure if anybody else has noticed this. Pretty much just based on my guildie DK who prefers Unholy, and myself, who prefers Frost.

"... man, Moulin Rouge was a great movie, wasn't it, Joe?"

Why yes, yes it was a great movie. Thanks for asking Anne.

"doesn't make a lot of sense when looking at the relative power levels of various NPCs."

Their power levels are OVER 9000 though!

That was kind of weak... I just wanted to make a power level joke.

The Care and Feeding of Warriors: Patch 4.2 lurches towards us

Jun 25th 2011 4:36PM (WoW)
"We also nerfed Arms and Fury damage across the board because they were doing too much damage in both PvP and PvE. While we are sensitive to casters outperforming melee on several raid encounters, having warriors handily outperform all other melee isn’t the solution to that problem."

This, as a frost DK even, made me pissed. You (Blizz) obviously know that caster dps is too high, and it has been for too long. Almost every fight has been dominated by casters as far as meters go, yet you completely delude to this. Caster dps is too high, so you nerf the only melee class that can compete with them? How about buffing all the melee classes rather than keeping casters the only raiders that don't feel like a hazard to bring to raids. It's just ridiculous. Caster DPS needs to either be nerfed, or melee classes buffed.

Could we still see epic gems in 4.2, or is it too late by now? Do we know everything about 4.2 by now, save for some class changes yet to come?

Awesome read. So interesting to me that just cuz' some dude knew what he was doing back then, all he had to do was make a video of it and a multi million dollar company hired him.

Do you think we might still get new epic gems in 4.2? Or is it too late in development and we already know everything that is coming?
