actually you could just take the silver line (the bus that heads out to the airport), the convention center is one of the stops. you can catch that to the red line (south station). but like you said, walking town. literally like 4-5 bridges that cross over to downtown, and it's about a 10 minute walk from downtown to the convention center and seaport district. it's shorter than the walk from the pru to downtown actually, or about the same (i'm pretty sure it's less though).
the seaport district isn't as bad as it used to be. the only problem is it's a lot ritzier than the stuff around the hynes. there are plenty of hotels there, good restaurants, the ICA, they finished the board walk in that area, and new buildings are being built all over the place. i used to live in that area, in the two years since i left the ica opened, two office buildings finished, they completed the boardwalk for that section, three new restaurants opened, and an italian convenience store opened up just below the building i used to live in (1 park lane). the design district is an interesting stop as well, off the silver line, and being so close to the board walk (weather permitting) is really an advantage in my book. plus it's flipping huge. i do believe the stat is it's as long as the empire state building is tall.
yeah it's been a while since i played a good D&D western style rpg, mostly cause every damn pc rpg is an mmo now, cause obviously we can all play 20+ pay for play games, and none of us enjoy a good single player yarn anymore. i really hope this lives up to my expectations though, which are baulder's gate 2 high. ie, the action looks fantastic, but will the storyline, character interactions and development be able to keep up, is it a deep game, or just some spectacular blood and gore.
i agree with other commenters, at least in reference to these particular comparison videos. i see absolutely no graphical differences except they appear to be using a sony xbr with the 360 version and a $200 vizio with the ps3 version. only noticeable difference is the washed out color, which god knows how they pulled off if it wasn't purposefully done, and i don't want to say it is definitively cause that's just hearsay on my part. it's damned obvious, though, that the only difference are those washed out colors, oh and that sega didn't bother giving any of bayonettas ginormous weapons proper collision detection when it comes to her clothing, which just makes her running look silly with the cloth just flitting through that giant axe. anybody who can spot significant graphical differences in that video better get their blood checked for company specific nanobots.
looks like a macbook, hell it's even got the black surround screen of the newest design. yeah it's really hard to steal a sleek design and put new components in it. i hope somewhere in there the dude writing this was being facetious cause seriously, give props to them for what? and @matsta the macbook comes in an all black flavor tard. there are plenty of lappies out there that are better than macs in terms of specs, we knew this already, since apple writes the drivers specifically for each of their products since they're the software and hardware kings on their comps they're usually a few months behind most other computers that opt for a speedy release over a more compatible release. it's a personal choice, and i usually choose both lol. i personally don't care for this edition of the macbook anyway (my favorite is still my old 12" powerbook, sexy beast, perfect size), so having good specs in an apple design i don't care for, mad props asus.
@dALE true, but when you basically blatantly stole the design stylings of a product and then claimed to have made it a better machine just by sticking in new hardware pretty much calls for a ton of chuckling cause it's just total bs out of asus and we all know it.
agreed, especially since it's an actual spelling error. even web editors have spellchecking these days. i typically accept grammar errors in blogging, but outright spelling errors, no.
since i first saw this game it always had a very shenmue vibe to it. i guess shenmue was riddled with QTEs as well, but...well you all know how good the first one was. if the story holds up to these visuals, and the details are given as much care as they were in shenmue, i'll definitely be picking this game up, QTEs and all.
