South Park DVD won't have Rock Band tracks after all

May 17th 2008 7:00PM (AOL TV)
Though the season had an episode dedicated to Guitar Hero, the tracks being for Rock Band made sense as well. That is considering that Rock Band has "Timmy and the Lords of the Underworld" as a bonus song on it.

TUAW hands on with CrossOver Games

Apr 17th 2008 8:35AM (TUAW.com)
I tried using Crossover before and it did the same thing for me too.
I would install something, it would work, and then the program would say I didn't have anything installed.
I eventually gave up trying to use it.
It's disappointing that the games version has similar problems.

God of War font used to tease 'unannounced psp title'

Feb 17th 2007 1:17PM (Joystiq)
Though I don't go as far as saying "it sucks", I do think God of War was pretty overrated. I played through a few times and wasn't very impressed with it. It was a bit fun but not as awe-inspiring as people said it was.

"Greatest Games of our time"?
Not really.

Objection! Phoenix Wright should have bonus items!

Jan 21st 2007 10:10AM (Joystiq)
I recently picked up my pre-ordered copy of Justice for All and I love the pre-order bonus.
The Phoenix Wright stylus, objection screen cleaner, and strap were nice gifts to us crazy Phoenix Wright fans.

I would love to see this Limited Edition of number 4 over here.
I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Hey Capcom, bring all of the wacky courtroom drama over here.
Preferably in English.

Guitar Hero: distortion pedals on the way?

Jan 9th 2007 11:43PM (Joystiq)
Jeez, how lame.

Nothing sucks worse than getting a game for one system, and then finding out that the re-release on a different system will have more things to it.

I KNEW the 360 version would get some new tracks, but stuff like The Trooper is a smack in the face to us PS2 players.

If this list had been released before the game was released on PS2, I would have waited.

Games for Windows Vista: how the new brand & OS will change PC gaming [update 1]

Dec 18th 2006 1:21PM (Joystiq)
I never really got PC gaming much.
My roommate is a PC gamer, and it seems all he plays are FPS. I would rather play games on my console really. Thats why I am a Mac user.
Yes, many of us OS X users will point out every single thing that Vista has stolen from OS X.
To tell the truth, I don't think anyone really cares about Vista. This new Games For Windows thing seems to be a trick to force gamers to use Vista. I have yet to talk to a person who wants Vista, let alone even knows there IS a new Windows version.

Mac game releases slow in 2006

Dec 6th 2006 7:19PM (Joystiq)
I think it does have to do with the rise of Boot Camp and running Windows on a Mac.
If a Mac user wants to play a game, they can just install it on their Windows partition.
I've been doing the same with Oblivion on my Macbook Pro.

Rumorang: Apple's game console

Dec 6th 2006 5:00PM (Joystiq)
I highly doubt that Apple is going to hit the console gaming market.
They have much more important things to be doing right now (Leopard) than to get into gaming.
Maybe these developers are hired to make it so games can be ported more easily to Macs, on both a software and hardware level.

Get your gift on: Holiday gamer shirts

Nov 28th 2006 5:22PM (Joystiq)
I wish I had some money left over to get some of the shirts on there.
Specially the Objection one.

Microsoft targets your kids with Viva Piņata party

Nov 28th 2006 9:21AM (Joystiq)
When I was camping for a Wii, we had this Viva Pinata standee in the window right behind where we were.
That thing was scary.
The whole time we were expecting it to burst out through the glass and kill us all.
