Logitech's PS3 controller: No motion, but yes to rumble

Jun 14th 2007 6:24AM (Joystiq)
Won't somebody please make a wireless PS3 controller that is identical to the 360 controller. Or at least switch the damn left analog stick and d-pad. Come on Logitech... you would sell more controllers if you did. My PS3 is just a dust collector because I can't stand the SUXASSES controller.

The usual. BF2:MC Online. Unless I download the new Crackdown stuff. That DLC looks really cool BTW...

Xbox 360 Elite Q&A

While I am very tempted to upgrade to the Elite, I'm going to hold out for the 65nm chips.

X3F has more Pac-Man to give away

Apr 27th 2007 7:42AM (Joystiq Xbox)
I'm glad I waited to buy (download) Pac-Man. Thanks in advance Xbox360Fanboy. I will get many hours of enjoyment playing this game!

I am one of the few here that actually played the arcade Pac-Man when it was released. Actually, I'm old enough to have been the first person I knew to get Coleco Telstar Pong, and the later Telsar Battle tank game. I doubt if I'll remember all my old patterns for Pac-Man though.

What I know about violent games

Apr 18th 2007 9:51AM (Joystiq)
@ Brandon

But video games are not the underlying cause. This kind of violence has been going on WAY before video games. What about the guy who climbed the clock tower and started shooting people. I don't know the exact year that happened, but I know it was before video games and even before the kind of violence we have in movies today. No matter what medium (violent or otherwise) is popular, we will ALWAYS have some jackass that's "just not right".

The 20GB PS3 is still alive ... in Japan

Apr 13th 2007 6:36AM (Joystiq)
"If Sony only made 1 model PS3 they could have an even more streamlined supply chain."

I wasn't aware of any supply issues with the PS3. Contrary to what Sony would like us to believe. The PS3 demand is not like the Wii demand. You can get a PS3 almost anywhere.

We all know that there was a demand for the 20GB. Sony doesn't want to sell a model they loose even more money on. What made it even worse was people who wanted a cheap Blu-ray player would buy a 20GB. Sony looses even more money on that deal because thats a PS3 sold, but very few, if any, games sold with the cheap Blu-ray player.

R.I.P. PlayStation 3 20GB is officially no more

Apr 12th 2007 9:26AM (Joystiq)
Like some of you have said. There IS a demand for the 20GB, but Sony made sure they were not available. So they could claim there was no demand and discontinue it. I would like to talk to some retail insiders and find out what their profit margin was on the 20GB. I'll bet the profit margin at retail was so low, or nothing at all, that no retailer wanted to order it.

GameStop: Battle is between Wii and PS3, Us: WTF?

Apr 11th 2007 12:40PM (Joystiq)
I think everyone should stop looking at consoles sold (or shipped), and look at games sold. That's the REAL indicator of how well a console is doing. What is the percentage of people using their consoles for games vs. ... well a Blu-ray player for instance. The console that sells the most games ALWAYS wins.

I have a Phillips 60" Rear Projection HDTV. It's about 3 years old and has over 3000 hours. All 3 projectors still work beautifully. It has a 1080 resolution. When I bought this, Plasma (No LCD's even close to this size at the time) HDTV's that did 1080 were more than 5x the price.

EA struggles to meet demand for Wii games

Apr 9th 2007 1:37PM (Joystiq)
I may NEVER buy another EA game and burn the ones I have. Let me tell you why:

I have a 360, PS3 and Roadrunner Cable (Fast, not Lite) with excellent ping times (speed) and no packet loss. I have no problems connecting to XBox Live or playing multiplayer games on the 360, except for EA games. I cannot connect to ANY EA games online. I have over 80 games for the 360 and most of EA's games for the 360. EA games on my PS3 connect with no problems. I have been contacting their tech support for over a week now. THE WORST TECH SUPPORT EVER! I am sure I'm one of only a handful of people with this issue, but I can't take them any more! I am SO done with EA!
