Xbox 360 diehard loses loyalty after seven bricked consoles

Feb 23rd 2007 10:07AM (Engadget)
I have two 360's, one from launch, one from last February. Both work great. 7 failures??? No question this guy is doing something stupid. Gimme a break. Go tell him to break some PS3's now, maybe fling a few Wiimotes while he's at it.

Owner of seven failed Xbox 360s speaks out

Feb 23rd 2007 9:42AM (Joystiq)
As an owner of two 360's, neither of which has given any trouble and both of which see very heavy use, I think something's fishy with these failures. Third party accessories? I don't know, but NONE of my friends has seen a failure either.

Wii Warm Up: Wii60

Jan 28th 2007 1:42PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I have 2 360's and a Wii. The two systems are a marvelous complement to each other. Xbox Live is the one to beat in my opinion, at the same time, the Wii promises to offer platformers such as Zelda and Mario the likes of which no other console will have. I hope Nintendo finally gets up and does something in the online arena. GoW is THE game around the house right now, and the 360 will hold us well through Nintendo's notorious "dry seasons".

I'd like to sue about 50% of the commenters here for their relentless butchery of the English language.

Flying Wiimote busts 60" TV

Nov 20th 2006 2:23PM (Joystiq)
Fraud. Just try pulling on one of those straps and see if you can break it. Imagine the force it would take to break the strap PLUS fly UPWARDS and hit the TV. Probably broke the TV directly with the Wii Remote still in hand, then cut the strap to cover things up for when dad finds out...

Details on GameStop's Wii bundle

Nov 10th 2006 9:51AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Sales started sometime around 7:30PM EST. Shipping was stated as a reasonable $20, but they sure made it up with the rest of the package. It was still available 10 minutes later. What I wonder is, did they terminate the preorder, or just restrict it to a very few packages? This package was not a deal by any stretch of the imagination. I doubt there's any gamer out there that is actually interested in the entire bundle of games, and the repair warrantee, given Nintendo's great track record of reliable hardware, is just a rip-off.

GameStop's mega Wii bundle

Nov 7th 2006 7:37PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
The email from EB Games said "starting from $699". That implies $699 is the cheapest bundle they'll offer. Sheesh.

Jaffe's Criminal Crackdown could be a hit for PS3 download service

Oct 20th 2006 2:24PM (Joystiq)
I hope it's a great game--the more good competition there is between the 360 and the PS3 the better, for us gamers.

But wait--a great game without HD cut scenes??? That's Blu-Ray sacrilege!!! I hope theres a new 50GB version in the works... ;)
