German law allows swastikas to be displayed in art, as long as it is done in context. Unfortunately, german law doesn't see videogames as art. Hence you have swastikas in Indiana Jones 3, the movie, but black squares in Indiana Jones 3, the videogame.

Unless there is no "used" option available that is. Plus, there could be incentive for "original" buyers in form of bonus DLC, or special editions for a limited timeframe.

It could very well backfire, but the concept sounds fair for all involved.

Finished the game. Thrice. So, yes... worth it. Although it's prolly cheaper on a disc (and/or for PC).

Yeah, but it's a bit of a different case - I mean I can live with having to phone in to activate a software that costs 200-300$ (or more), which I have to reinstall (normally) once or twice in two years.

With a 30-40$ game it's a cruel joke. Imagine every game had that...

I wish there was more ingame advertisement - as long as it fits.

Although I could live with, say, a Red Bull Mana Potion in a fantasy game... ;)
