Did you just attack American publishers for running with franchises? Can I introduce you to Final Fantasy 12, Dragon Quest 8, the latest Sonic, Mario and Pokémon titles along side Resident Evil 5, Gran Turismo 4 and... well you get the picture right?
See, claiming Blu-Ray will win because it has more studios is one way to look at it, but when you see that HD-DVD has more of the studios who actually release films worth watching... well it doesn't take a genius to see that content will drive this format war.
Oh, and Battlestar Galactica is coming to HD-DVD so it's automatically won.
If graphics didn't matter we'd all be playing text games or using wireframe models. The greatness of a game is naturally represented by a function of graphics, audio, playability, interface, story and a final residual component. You don't need to have the BEST graphics to be a good game [unless it's a puzzle title], but they need to be at least within the same generation.
You don't need a HD TV to see how much better the other consoles and modern PCs look compared to the Wii, and trust me the difference is going to become worse as time goes by. If you really don't care about graphics - and frankly I doubt that indifference truly extends beyond a small hardcore of Nintendo fans - and the controller still looks to be the next coming of Zombie Buddha to you... then whatever, cool.
No, it's NOT like the Killzone 2 trailer... Nobody is assuming Halo Wars' is ingame, and Ensemble have said it's just a movie. Killzone 2's developers and Sony wanted you to think theirs was ingame.
Anyhow, if the control system is as good as BFME2's, this will be very nice indeed.
