'Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition' koming to konsoles February 28

Jan 9th 2012 7:29PM (Joystiq)
Doesn't this just want to make you start waiting for games longer? I mean, you get $20 off the release MSRP price and then you get another what, $20-30 off pretty much on all the DLC. This is trap and I don't think I'm liking this sort of business strategy. Really.

Silent Hill HD Collection delayed until March [update: Konami confirms]

So.... I thought this was just for PS3. When did they decide it was going to be release multi-plat?

PlayStation Vita data plans for US revealed

Wow, what a croc of crap. I don't want to do anything that has to do with AT&T! I get 2GB data with T-Mobile for 1/5 the price of AT&T and my service is just fine. Whatever, at least my Vita will have WiFi.

Joystiq Top 10 of 2011: Skyrim

I'm confused. Both Mortal Kombat, Gears of War 3, Saints Row and Bastion beat out Uncharted 3? What's wrong with the world today? If this is the case, I would plan on seeing Mass Effect 3 win next year as Game of the Year.

Scratch one Gears of War 3 demo

@CaramelZappa
I used party chat. It took me a half-hour into get into a game and play for that exact reason. Everyone would shut up and come to a decision of what exactly they wanted to play rather than just calling me on a cell phone when they came to a decision and were ready to play. I've lost hours of my lifetime waiting and waiting...... and waiting. Party chat is old news. Its not worth $60/year.

Scratch one Gears of War 3 demo

Yeah, leave it to Microsoft to alienate their own customers. Because someone doesn't want to pay Microsoft their yearly fee every year, they get the shaft when it comes to demo's. Its not good enough that Microsoft charges them to use Netflix, Hulu, ESPN (that they charged $10 more per year for, and every other movie service, they want to charge you to play a demo. That's like renting out a demo that's prohibited by law. Its pay to play. I have no need to play games online with my 360 as I get pretty much the same services online through PlayStation Network for free. Does it run any better on Xbox Live than it does on PlayStation Network? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Its just Microsoft marketing that suckers everyone into thinking it really is.

Mass Effect 3 gets super leaky: story files trickle out of BioWare, acci-demo caught on video

@nerdquest I never said it never happened. I said lately Microsoft have been getting careless. I'm talking recently. September, Gears of War 3 was hacked and stolen. Way to provide security there.

Mass Effect 3 gets super leaky: story files trickle out of BioWare, acci-demo caught on video

@OnToGloryReturns So uh, foil hat huh? Thanks Ballistic H. Also, have you ever read the previous articles in which the title is 'Microsoft flipped the wrong switch?'

Microsoft are getting careless. This is the company that's been so recognized as having the most secure online service. They attacked Sony for hacks when Major Nelson's account was hacked along with other Xbox Live accounts, and they say Microsoft has a justified $60/yr. fee for their service when PSN is comparable. I never get booted for games where I've been booted before on several Live games. Microsoft just knows how to advertise and make themselves seem like the hero and blameless for whatever.

But look man, you don't have to worry. BioWare isn't going anywhere. Microsoft screwed up but, BioWare aren't going to stop giving them all this DLC. Sony can stand on the top of a mountain and yell, "We haven't done anything to offend" or stay quiet, and Microsoft will still suck up all the glory. So, you're ok. Your precious 360 will still win.

Ken Levine gives us an update on BioShock for PlayStation Vita

Oct 17th 2011 3:38PM (Joystiq)
Eh.. That's pretty bizarre. Ken Levinge takes the stage at E3 and says they've had idea's for the next Bioshock game that really seemed to fit best with the Vita but, it sounds like its been all talk. Something to really talk up the PlayStation Vita and get Irrational and 2K's name in the Vita door but, it sounds like after that, Irrational nor 2K really even care after that. Outsourcing the game? That means that Irrational Games are far to busy with PC, Xbox 360 development then to work with another Sony platform with a remaining still bitter taste in their mouth from the PS3. So, they're going to announce the game and then brush the responsibility onto someone else. That just doesn't sound right to me. Lavigne doesn't seem as interested in the Vita and he made it sound. This isn't going to work Sony. This game is going to flop.
