T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide official: Android 2.1, QWERTY, coming in June (we go hands-on)
May 4th 2010 11:40AM (Engadget)It's also got Android 2.1 which is nice but a stable build of 2.1 for the G1 is right around the corner thanks to Cyanogen so that's not as big of a deal as it was even a couple weeks ago.
I don't think I'd like the Sense UI and I'm pretty sure the T-Mobile stuff would suck so while I'll probably buy this I think I will wait till it's been rooted and there's a decent tweaked ROM available for it.
Wonder what it will really cost (not the fake contract pricing) I'm guessing it will set me back $349, if I'm lucky it will be $299 but I doubt it. I'm sure not getting it on contract the Even More Plus pricing makes that about as smart as playing the lottery
myTouch Slide found in the wild, looking good in red
Apr 12th 2010 6:00PM (Engadget)As long as it has more application memory than the G1 and has a 3.5mm jack I'll probably buy it.

Jun 25th 2009 9:54AM (Engadget Mobile)This one looks like it uses Micro-USB which is good because that is where most manufacturers are going, right now every phone and every other BT headset in our family (I even keep a mid-range Motorola headset in my car so I have something I can use if/when the battery in the Jawbone dies and I am of course unable to charge it until I get home) uses mini-USB and it's just a simple (and inexpensive) adapter to go from mini-USB to micro-USB.
T-Mobile, Verizon set to offer Android-based Motorola phones this year
Jun 23rd 2009 3:23PM (Engadget)As for Verizon, I don't know how they will be able to control the environment and charge extra for everything on an Android device, I guess we shall see.
