Bobby Kotick's keynote had many interesting points. It was interesting about that he didn't look in Harmonix's direction. One has to wonder if this was an attempt to reach out to them given that EA's license with Harmonix is almost up. Could we have a near future where there is a monopoly of music games -- I hope not!

The podcast does not seem to be on the RSS feed or on the Zune link yet.

Is Datel being blocked from aquiring a license? You see MadCatz building controlers that have a license.

I would worry that without a license and with an implied approved Q&A that a Datel memory unit could cause issues with games.

I was at the talk yesterday and I thought the name of the RB software was Magma and not Ember. This is far better than what can be done on Guitar Hero and I hope it bring many lesser known bands to Rock Band.

It is great to see that Pearl Jam recognizes cross-over activities that their fans enjoy. I love the DLC that came with the re-release of Ten and I cannot wait until I can play the songs off of Backspacer. Now I just need to find a Target store.

Kudos to Harmonix and the boys in Pearl Jam for being able to pull this off on the same day as the album. I can't wait for 9/20!
