Ahh ok, that's interesting. Perhaps the US Sales of LBP were considered healthy enough not to induce such drastic price cuts as we saw in the UK.

I guess that also implies you guys know a good game when you see one :)

The main reason LBP sold in November and December was the price. Most retailers cut the price by more than half from RRP of £39.99 to £17.99, even £15 in some places.

It's a real shame as it's a fantastic game. But maybe there's a bigger issue here as to finding the right price point for new releases. I doubt the units shipped would have been anywhere near what they are now if this game wasn't slashed by over 50%.

I think on Amazon UK this game is still around £16 new.

I am so hyped for this game. Also looking forward to Dead Rising for Wii too. 2009 first quarter is going to be awesome.
