Skylanders-esque NFC tech built into Wii U's WiiPad

What's new about video games? The WiiU is just a video game.

Resident Evil 6 announced by Capcom, arriving November 20 on 360/PS3 with PC version later

@nandokun Also, Dead Space had very fast moving enemies with difficult to hit weakspots. They could afford to add mobility to the protagonist while still maintaining tension due to the difficulty of engaging the antagonists. Even though in RE5 they speeded up the zombies, they are no where near as fast as the Dead Space enemies. RE5 zombies + Dead Space mobility = way to easy game that you are in no way afraid of. As it is, RE5 lost majority of the survival horror aspects, adding that extra mobility would take any last bit of tension out of the game entirely.

@singleandlovinit I disagree. I think it is great game design. The RE designers have stated over and over again that the whole point of reducing the ability of control is to remove control from the player. In a horror scenario, if you have full control, there is nothing to fear. This is a bold move from a design standpoint. I don't think that the RE franchise has been successful *despite* the horrible controls. I think RE achieved the desired game play effect because of their control decisions. The only problem is the franchise is so huge now that action game fans are slowly demanding the game change to accommodation what they are used to, playing a game to feel like a bad ass instead of feeling helpless.

@Streeks1984 You may be right that some games don't really get fun until more than 5 hours into them. IMO, if the fun doesn't start by the end of the first hour, then the game designers didn't do good enough.

Here's the real way to play Battlefield 3

@balbonits Don't know for certain. I would imagine, if you are shooting while walking sideways, it is in order to get into cover. I don't think you'd ever see this on a real live battlefield:

Here's the real way to play Battlefield 3

@balbonits Soldiers are trained to shoot as the move if they have to, in general, just as you would assume, you don't want to move when shooting because you are far less likely to hit anything. As for calling it 'strafing', I think that is just a video game usage. Strafing's original definition is "To attack with a machine gun or cannon from a low-flying aircraft."

Mojang should just do like the porn companies and name the game Not Elder Scrolls.
