I saw them live a few weeks back here in Cincinnati, and they, in my opinion were freaking awesome. I've always loved their music, although a lot of it sounds similar. They also did an acoustic cover with a bunch of deceased rock stars including my all time favorite Johnny Cash.

(The opening bands were quite terrible, though.)

Get your facts straight, there has been more times than one where the PTR is up and the patch hits at the same time. There is no written rule that says that the PTR always goes down before the patch.
