LoS was not the game I wanted. I picked it up after people I trusted said how good it was and was very disappointed. While the main combat itself is fine there are just too many stupid things that get in the way of making it a good game. Egoraptor knows what makes a good CV game, get him on that.
@GenGrievous It never will going by the numbers BPMOmega provided. Let's say that the PS3 sold the same numbers this week for the rest of the year it will sell 1.4 million whereas the Wii in its current sales numbers for the year will sell 420000.
At the same time the Vita wouldn't exactly do much better. Let's hope Sony can do something there and I'm sure they will as it took the original DS to come into its own and the same can be seen with the 3DS but Sony really didn't help matters with the Vita by producing a new memory format that is only usable with the Vita, is expensive and hasn't been shown to have faster read/write speeds than microSD.
Hey Ubisoft, how about you treat actual paying customers as such instead of making life worse for them and easier for pirates.
I haven't bought a single game from Ubisoft since they basically called any one who plays a game on PC a pirate. I'm not entirely guilt free, I used to pirate games back when I was a teenager but now I buy games that I want to play and support the devs to continue to make those games but Ubisoft went about it all the wrong way. When you don't trust your consumer they won't trust you. Ubisoft have also given me very little reason to buy their games on PC either. I was very excited for From Dust and how it would work on PC but they some how botched it big time. PC have been gaining a resurgence over the past year where people are seeing the true value of PC gaming over console gaming and devs seem to be stepping up support for their PC ports (even though it should be the other way around). Not that there is anything wrong with console gaming I own both an Xbox 360 and PS3 but they are reaching their end and there is only so much time before devs decide to stop producing games for current gen and move on to the next.
What Ubisoft is saying here sounds great on paper but we shall have to see how things turn out in the future.
@MystcLazrDragon I really hope we get some more news on this game soon as I'm worried about its production considering the games that get cancelled these days. Class 3/4 sounds like the zombie survival game I've wanted for years and I'm surprised no one has yet to really do it.
@xiLeShadow I'm right there with you. I didn't complete Dark Souls but I did play a big ol' chunk of it and I'm willing to do that all over again. 20 hours did go by when I still had no idea what I was doing.
I can't believe it's really taken this long. Like most I'm sure politicians simply ignore gaming while it continues to make more money than the film industry.
I feel bad for them losing their jobs as it seems to be happening a lot and it's probably gonna be hard for awhile for some of them but I honestly have to say I never really enjoyed Hydrophobia. I really wanted to like the game. I saw that it got bad reviews and decided to skip it but when it got the patch that fixed so much stuff, I finally decided to bite and I just found it to be boring. I didn't even find the water to really add that much to the game and the Scottish guy just generally annoying rather than helpful or funny. The shooting was ok but it didn't really leave an impact on me. I never did finish it even though it's not very long. It's one of those games that's just so heavy on game mechanics that they actually make the game not very fun. When I heard the name for the first time, I thought this would be some kind of psychological game or something where you have to face your fear but all we got was a mediocre first person shooter with some swimming.
@SamE I just wish that if these HD remakes sold well we could get a sequel or at least potentially. SoA was amazing and really deserves a modern game with full voice acting. I haven't played it in quite some time but I remember it having some really terrific music.
