I hope, hope this is true, re-bought all the old titles for my back-compat ps3 these games are so great, but I never expected them to be HD'd since they were written in Naughty D's proprietary language. If this is really coming to HD, I'm buying all of course, but now I want all the Ratchet and Clanks, also.

I appreciate this review. I am tired of Carmack's arrogance. Ars Technica wrote a similar review (this one is better). Joystiq and Ars-- doesn't get much better than that. I'll play this game years from now when I find it in a bargain bin and marvel at the graphics we created 'back then'.

The writer states, "its visuals are clearly still a ways from being finished. Hopefully they'll be spruced up". Clearly? How are they a ways from being finished? The writer never says, never backs up his statement. Spruced up? How? What's wrong with them? You mean the artifacting from the compressed video? What are you talking about? Make a statement and back it up or don't make the statement.

@gatotsu911 Well-stated, and fully agree with the last two sentences. I myself am excited to be able to re-buy stuff which still contains all the particulars of the originals, just cleaned-up. Really enjoying the Sly, though would love to see R&C and J&D-- those three were the massive platforms of the ps2 generation-- they all deserve remakes.

@v6sonoma I just upgraded a phat 60 GB to 500 GB. No problems whatsoever. But give yourself a couple hours, it takes a while to transfer your backup to a USB HD and back again to the new installed HD.

@Ezio Auditore da Firenze Same here. That's why Netflix, 7.99/month, stream all you want. Many in HD and 5.1, same price. Checked out VUDU and couldn't believe what a rip!

Finally! I'll start playing this game again. I remember when I first bought it, thinking that all the songs listed in Wiki were available-- then discovering that so many songs I planned to get were only available in Europe. Now years later I can get those songs. Better late than never.
