Great list... but I feel you chose the wrong Designing Women episode. "The First Day of the Last Decade Of The Entire 20th Century" was when Charlene was ready to give birth, her husband Bill was overseas and Dolly Parton played her guardian angel. An absolute classic!

As my family entered the 6th season we all expected to finally have the answers to questions that had accumulated since episode 1. By the time the finale closed we had come to realize that the questions mattered little and that a much larger and more important story had played out before us. Once again, we had been fooled and misdirected, and the payoff was glorious. We won't see a show or a story like this again for a very long time, but we have plenty of time to examine it again and again...

Wow, best episode this season? Possibly the best episode PERIOD! You would have to have been invested in every single episode that came before to get the full impact of what happened here, but every single second was so good!

So glad that WKRP came in at #1. I also agree with an earlier commenter that the Walton's Thanksgiving Reunion is a pretty wonderful production. Hard to find on TV, but it is out on DVD.

Shows in their 8th season are not supposed to be better OR scoring such high ratings, but Two And A Half Men (and NCIS)are doing just that! And "Two Men" is better this year in a way that made the first few years so enjoyable. Dropping any serious storyline for Charlie and just letting him go with wild abandon is exactly what the character needed. A balance has been restored to the show this season, one where Berta is actually integral to the story and Rose is hopping the deck railing again! This show makes me laugh out loud again... no higher compliment!

Moore and Shankar's credits do include a lot of remakes (they both started on Star Trek TNG) but they can't be accused of not taking original spins on their redos. I'm looking forward to a new WWW!

The most outrageous moment occurred in the pilot when Chance makes a parachute out of train seats and packing material and jumps from a speeding train (with girl in tow) at 200 miles per hour AND as the train is entering a tunnel! I love this show!!!

I have always said that Deep Space nine is like graduate studies for the Star Trek universe. It is hard...so hard, but the rewards are so, so rich and satisfying. DS9 is ultimately where any Star Trek lover wants to end up, where the characters are vividly drawn and the stories are complex and intelligent. It is the one Trek that demands to be seen chronologically from beginning to end lest you will become hopelessly lost. Roddenberry would have appreciated the big ideas (religion, politics, war, morality) fearlessly tackled throughout the run of this show. This show did "Star Trek" better than Star Trek!

Tom is the choice if they want a long term Food Network star.
Aarti will do well in the short term and then move on to something else that interests her.
Herb...you just don't know. I think he could be so appealing if he could just find a rhythm and just get comfortable. I think it's too late for him and I'm not sure why he's still there. Even Aria was a more solid contestant than Herb.

It is for sentimental reasons only that I'll be rooting for Sharon Gless for Burn Notice. I remember Gless and Tyne Daley trading Emmy's every year while Cagney & Lacey was on and I'm a huge fan of Burn Notice. But I know that she's not a serious contender this year. It's seems like a tribute nomination for an old friend.
