Tried the Golden Abyss demo, and I was disappointed how much less refined it is than U2 and 3. Character animations are less varied or subtle, writing seems to be less witty, and it seriously has the worst-designed menu I've ever seen. Most other uses of tilt/touch do nothing be detract as well - with the exception of sniper controls. They're fantastic.

It still plays great by non-Uncharted standards; now I'm just waiting for Amazon to give it a price drop.

There's a game I'd actually enjoy with tilt controls.

@cephalopoid It allows them to make the base system appear cheaper. The 360 has done the same, making the console itself very cheap, but the HDD, memory cards and wifi adapter more expensive.

It's dishonest, and they should be selling the thing with a memory card to begin with. But you just have to add the cost of a card onto the system and consider that the real price of the console.

@Kougeru I think that's part of the point - it'll work for a while. Hopefully long enough to build traction with publishers and get a big library/user base.

There's no need to be pedantic, it's completely obvious what he meant. And if you want to be technical, at least get it right. A lower-case g doesn't mean anything. It's Gb and GB. If you want to be more technical, it's a 4GiB card, since it's 4*2^30 bytes rather than 4*10^3. But as I say, there's no need because it's obvious what is meant.

Can anyone explain to me why Lumines is a full-priced game? Compared to Super Stardust Delta for $10, or any mobile game in the last five years, that price is ridiculous.

This is awesome, but shouldn't just be a promotion. I'd really like to see this be the norm, prompting other publishers making a game for both consoles to do the same. Hopefully the increased purchase value (for the game and the Vita) would pay off in sales numbers.

Did anyone else think this article was about the logical sequel to Dark Souls when they started reading the title?

@(Unverified) THQ is a publisher, not a studio...
Anyway, that would mean no more PC Relic games. Unacceptable.
