Most certainly not.

Lost Planet 2 no quick 'n' dirty sequel, says Capcom

Actually, punctuation does not always go inside the quotation marks. I believe this is only true for commas and periods. Other ending punctuation depends on how the quotes are used, and in this case, I believe he used them correctly.

What Apple could learn from Palm's webOS

Jan 15th 2009 8:48PM (Engadget)
I'm not too familiar with the iPhone, but how easy is it to play emulators on it? Even a simple one like the NES would seem to be hard to play well without a physical keyboard. I'm not sure if you can even get emulators through the app store, but I do remember seeing my friend having an NES emulator on his iPhone. Using the screen as the controller while trying to use the screen for the game seems a bit impractical.

I'd also like to know which Windows Mobile app would let me do this.

Andrew Lloyd Webber finally turning his musicals into video games

Why not make a video game that is a musical or is based on a musical?

Metal Gear Solid theme unused in MGS4 due to plagiarism claims

Dec 12th 2008 9:46PM (Joystiq)
There's two distinct sections that are pretty similar to the those found in the MGS theme. I'm not sure why people think the song is so drastically different. I think it's a little too similar to be a coincidence, but who knows.

Ask Engadget: Best noise-canceling headphones?

Nov 27th 2008 9:43PM (Engadget)
Ones that go in your ears, like earplugs.

I suggest getting one of the Shure in-ear headphones -- whichever model is in your price range.

Upcoming dual-processor Nehalem EP machine benchmarked -- yeah, it's fast

This would be kind of cool for some kind of dynamically changing movie that was different with each viewing. For a standard movie, it's always going to look better with the higher quality rendering that can't be done in real time. And there would really be no point to limiting the quality AND the prospective user-base. Though it'd be kind of cool if on a Wall-E video game, they included a 360/PS3-rendered version of the movie.

Reggie thinks third-parties don't 'get' the Wii: discuss

Nov 19th 2008 12:10PM (Engadget)
@KarlW

Definitely. The Nintendo Wii is good for pretty much Nintendo only. How is a third-party really going to compete with a company that makes tons of money from selling hardware and then can channel it into developing their own games? Nintendo can put tons of money into a game without worrying if it really makes that much from game sales alone if they know it will also push hardware. Not to mention the advantage of getting to know hardware secrets (Wii Motion Plus) before anyone else.
