given Nolan's preference to use actors multiple times i would put my bets on Joseph Gordon Levitt, although I could see Guy Pearce pulling it off as well.

um yeah, settle down a little bit. the event was awesome and the only reason it didn't really go as planned was because it was crazy windy. it's not like it's in the budget to control the wind. plus about 35 minutes after the crowd dispersed they reenacted the helicopter drop with a security team chasing sam flynn and everything. i'm tired of these "is viral marketing worth it" articles because it defeats the purpose of even asking. it happened and we're talking about it right? i'm pretty sure it's working.

I think you're failing to realize that the Tron marketing is starting exactly the way The Dark Knight did. Yeah people were a little disappointed with a 2 minute trailer for all the build up, but lets be honest, people in 5 cities across the world saw 2 minutes of something no one else has seen yet. That's pretty incredible. I know I would've loved to have been there. And yes while the Dark Knight campaign did send out stuff and played to passers-by that was a bit later in the campaign. We're talking March and the movie came out in July. Give it some time, this was only the first major event and the movie isn't even out until December. The same company is doing the Tron marketing and I'd be willing to bet that by the time it's over we'll get some sort of mass advance screening like we did with The Dark Knight or maybe even a Daft Punk concert out of it. I personally love these types of marketing campaigns because while it doesn't do a whole lot for unknowing fans, it's a hell of a great way to deliver fan service.

Funny sure, but I find it hard to believe you even saw the movie going by these quotes. All of them are in the trailer including the Sears one which wasn't in the movie.

I flipped this on last night for about 15 minutes because there was nothing on and what I saw made me lose a lot of respect for her.
