The Martin Fury scandal: Karatechop reveals all

May 1st 2009 1:00PM (WoW)
1. Blizzard YET AGAIN fail to remedy problems caused by their system.

2. Their delayed so-called remedy in this case was another failure on BLIZZARDS behalf for giving out this particular item.

3. If this person has zero other complaints or problems in the past, then clearly Blizzard has gone completely overboard banning, without even a warning or even a question as to how this came about. No, Blizzard did not even want to discuss the matter that they knew they had created - if they did, they would lose the debate knowing that they had caused the problem in the first place.

4. Why people continue to feed these greedy b******s more money is beyond me. You feed them your hard-earned cash for even years, and look how they repay you: unable to restore lost loot, and unable to control the loot that they give as recompense. And in the end, they ban you without even a word.

I played WoW in Beta, and no more. No thanks.

That looks, put simply, dumb.

How awkward is a controller already without having that giant thing in your hands...

Blizzard sued by WoW Glider creator

Nov 21st 2006 1:33PM (Joystiq)
Blizzard have lost control of the game anyway. Too many people are playing, too much is going on for them to be able to keep a firm hold on what goes on, and that is why I quit WoW. I was being harrassed by a group of players consistently, day in day out, I made numerous complaints to Blizzard, E-Mails galore and they did nothing: Why? Because they could do nothing, they can't even uphold their own rules 'No harrassment'. If people want to farm, they will, and they will get away with it. If people want to run Bots, they will because they can and do get away with it. Blizzard simply does not have enough time nor the staff to 'police' their own product. There are numerous problems in-game among the players and only handfulls are dealt with whilst many others run riot. I think the game is good, but Blizzards total apathetic, indifferent attitude towards their customers (due to having the largest player base of any MMO and subsequently being rich?) led me to quit in disgust.

If they lose the suit, it's fine by me.

Japan gets Lost Odyssey demo, we get squat

Nov 3rd 2006 4:21AM (Joystiq Xbox)
"6. the loyal United States Xbox buyers are getting the back burner again... We are the ones that are making you money...Microsoft."

And that is exactly why it is being released in Japan first. They already have a strong customer base in the US, and they need to build a stronger one in Japan - money. They already have yours, now they want ours.

Besides all this crap people are talking here, you should count yourselves lucky you have SO many games on offer, on the shelf or even for digital download in the US. In Japan we get slow imports, FEWER games for the 360, and have to pay MORE MONEY to buy the damn things here.

Count yourselves lucky you get WAY more love than we do in Japan.

The booth babe lineup, a TGS tradition

Pants.

What a load of crap. Sterotype, hype, crap.

Why are there so many stupid, stereotypical, misinformed, blind critics of Japan?

Forget this country, go play in your own you clouded in hype fools.

Chew on these 360 numbers

Yes, a mistake about the price thing, was thinking of something else at the time of writing. Anyway, the rest of what I said still counts regardless.

Chew on these 360 numbers

Jul 24th 2006 11:30PM (Joystiq)
I live in Japan, and the X-Box 360 is something I will not buy for two big reasons: 1. There are only about 12 games for it on the shelf now. 2. Of those games, most are PC games too, which play & look better on my high-spec PC (custom made) which cost half the price of a 360.

A lot of gamers in Japan build their own PC's and so prefer PC games for foreign types of games (FPS's, RTS's): PC games sell quite well in Japan, there is a huge selection of them.

Would you buy a 360 here? 360 games are playable on the PC too, so why buy a 360? Only a handful of games are available, so would you buy a 360 here?

If you think the PS3 won't sell here, you're sadly mistaken. It will offer the types of games that people want, VARIETY, and especially RPG's that are made in Japan. And what's wrong with that? People outside Japan complain that Japanese gamers are selfish... Which would you rather buy in your country, a Japanese-league soccer game, or your country's soccer game? The 360 offers way too little incentive, currently: you cannot argue with that.

Want to boost sales in Japan? Why not do a very simple thing: For years English versions of PC games have been sold here, with a Japanese printed manual, and they sell decently, maybe well. Why on Earth not do the same for the 360? Even if the game is an English version, at least having (the current in the US?) 40 games on the shelf will help boost confidence that MS cares about giving Japan variety.

Blame MS, they hardly promote the damn thing. I didn't start seeing advertisements for the 360 till less than a month before it was released! On release day it had like six titles, half of what is available now.

The PS3's price will be justified, people, as in any country will be more inclined to believe their own country's companies. Japanese people trust Japanese companies more, simply because they are Japanese. Most people in other countries are no doubt the same.

I paid 70,000 yen for a PC graphics card, JUST the graphics card. Why would I think 70,000 for a PS3 is SO expensive? People pay triple that cost for a PC. The PS3 is not just a game console, like the 360 is a home entertianment system, but will be superior to the 360 mainly because Sony have had, & still have time to make improvements over the 360. Sony still has the option to delay the release of the PS3.

If developers are nervous about PS3 sales, they only have to take a look at current PS2 sales & game titles to help persuade them to work harder. The PS2 is STILL selling hugely. PS2 games are abundant, there are so many to choose from - consumers LOVE Sony.

Do you love Microsoft?

:D
