@melao I agree with you that the software makes the system. However I disagree with the fact that you think Sony doesn't understand that. Because I take it you were implying that Sony and Microsoft do not understand that the software makes the system. That is not the case because Sony has more exclusives for the PlayStation 3 this year than both Microsoft and Nintendo have for their systems combined.

I too am a subscriber to PlayStation Plus, and it is very well worth it for all of the free PSN games, themes. betas, avatars, and mini's that Sony has given so far, not to mention the services such as Hulu Plus (that Plus received well before anyone else) And the NHL Center ICE app for free. It was well worth the 50 dollars I initially paid. Especially because the 15 month deal is still going on.

I think I've already received well over $200 dollars in content.

Or, you could buy a PS3 for your home theatre need, and ave yourself 100 or 200 dollars as they only cost $299. And besides, you get muchh better surround sound audio (7.1) with the PS3. And the option to play games is always there.
