All Sonic Generations 3DS levels to be platform-exclusive (save for Green Hill Zone)

Dragon Quest 1, 2, and 3 collected on a Wii disc
May 11th 2011 6:42PM (Joystiq)People didn't like it because it was lazy, a ripoff and didn't live up to the birthday of the biggest gaming icon of all time. Seriously, it's a re-release of a remake and nothing was updated or changed at all, for $20+ when they could have released it for $8 on Virtual Console. It's $40 on Amazon right now, by the way. That's double the price for which you could get all of the real originals, that would actually be able to really represent Mario's legacy, on Virtual Console.

May 7th 2011 8:30PM (Joystiq)First off, I love its detailed animation. I definitely prefer its graphics over NSMBW's and DKCR's.
It certainly puts more emphasis on "speedrunning", if you will, as every level has an "escape sequence" where you have to get back to the beginning of the level under a time constraint. Most of the time you go a different path though.
There are missions in every level that are comparable to achievements. Some of them are really hard but all the missions are optional though and only unlock the soundtrack.
The controls are as smooth as you would expect them to be from a Wario-platformer. Essentially, the controls are those of Wario Land 4 with a few motion controls added. Just like in DKCR and NSMBW, you always hold the controller sideways and just flick or turn the controller when certain moves are required.
Musically, I find WLSI to be the most appealing. It comes with all kinds of genres and draws some nice but subtle inspirations from other Wario/Mario games here and there, but other than NSMBW and DKCR it comes with a lot of new music.
Overall I prefer WLSI but if you don't play the optional missions or unlock the secret levels then it won't be as hard as DKCR. It also won't take you as long to beat; I don't remember exactly but I recall reading about people beating the game in 5-6 hours without secret levels and missions. It took me about 15 hours at minimum to get 100% in the game.
Hope I helped.
Rumor: 'Wii Select' budget line launching this month
May 3rd 2011 5:45PM (Joystiq)You are contradicting yourself.
At first you complain that Wiis break down even though they are not being used, then you say they don't break down because people don't use them. At first you said that you want Nintendo to put their games on "real systems", then you say that you don't want their franchises anymore because they are just rehashing them.
On top of that, I never defended Ninjabread Man or any other low-quality title for that matter. The reason all those bad games come to the Wii is because it's the cheapest platform to develop games for and because it has the biggest install base. And honestly, if you ever got tricked into buying one of those shovelware-games, it's your own fault. There are plenty of reviews online that can tell you whether or not a game is worth your time and money.
Seriously, most of your arguments are pathetic.

Rumor: 'Wii Select' budget line launching this month
May 3rd 2011 1:21PM (Joystiq)Why would they lower the price if the games kept being sold steadily? Seriously, are you aware that Nintendo is a business? I can't believe you are mad at a company for wanting to make as much profit as possible.
Does it irritate me that Nintendo doesn't lower the prices of most of their games? Of course, but I earnestly can't blame them for not doing so.
It's only now that the sales of those games have dropped enough to justify a price drop for them as a business. Besides, there are plenty of great third-party Wii games that sell at discount prices, partly because ignorant people like you ignored them. Bringing Ninjabread Man into your argument just proves your ignorance.
If you want Nintendo to fail like SEGA, you honestly don't deserve playing their games anyways.
Additionally, just because your Wii, Wii remote or whatever accessory broke without you using it you can't just act like that's a common occurrence. The Wii is the most reliable system of this generation in terms of not breaking down - that's a fact.
