Amazon launches casual game download service

it would also be good to know the numbers in the developers´ side. How much of this goes to paying them and how much does Amazon get?

Our company thinks that its great, since as the distribution channels grow, then we´re in better position.

This one is expensive compared to the iPhone as Follisimo says... But it is still another option and will improve the market competitiveness.

Rumor: Apple planning 'premium' games section in iPhone App store

Jan 30th 2009 2:26PM (Joystiq)
This is what I wanted to see... and I really think it makes sense. The iPhone App catalogue is becoming larger and larger and it will be more difficult to tell which apps are real gems and which ones are just crapware.

The price I say depends on the title...

GRIN talks movie games, state of the industry

The thing with small developing studios (speaking from inside one here) is that, well, developers have to eat, too.. (maybe we can spare social life, but food is food)

Big projects; ambitious projects, take a lot of time to cook. I think its very reasonable to start with a small project and build your way up... And im speaking about the complexity of the project.

This have nothing to do with the CREATIVITY... Creativity should always stay up whether a project is complex or not.

Smaller projects give the oportunity to small developers to get some products out, its the talent and the creativity behind those projects that will make it stand out.

What i'd like to know is what new games are involved with the brazilian studio they just acquired; Developer Studios like ours in Mexico are always eager to cooperate in multi-dev projects.

Ubisoft snatches up Brazilian studio Southlogic

I find amazing how the industry is getting a lot of support in Latin America.

We have a Developing Studio in Mexico and we found a great deal of support from a lot of places. YABT, MASHAV, TIC Americas, Global TIC, Nat'l and Int'l Universities and many others have supported the industry in my home town, even with federal funding.

It is rapidly growing.

Activision Blizzard an investor's 'haven' in 2009

Hahahaha, cheer up, Valie!

Jokes aside, I realize that having a great IP is crucial in the videogame industry. Publishers should really dig deep in finding that and not throw the usual shovelware some companies have done. -cof cof, iPhone, cof cof Wii-
