Yeah, only bits of the original were CGI (I think a tad more was CGI in the second one however... I liked the first and hated the second)... they were all costumes/creature effects which I recognized right away (there is a long bit about it on the dvd)... seriously am I the only one who can tell the difference? It seems like I'm always telling my mom and friends what's what. Bad CGI has got that "too perfect" sheen and a lot of the time the colors are too light in comparison to the rest of the film. Also movement is bad... however it's not awkward and "air touching" like creature effects. Note the awkward running along the walls in the first one... the lycans lightly touched the walls because they were on wires. In CGI, that'd be easy to correct (full contact between palms and wall).

But anyhoo, yep we're all pointing that out... looks like, however, in #3 (haven't seen it yet) there is more CGI... that scene with them running to the castle looks totally CGI.

I'm a 20 year old female. I have a wii and I have neither console. (Though if I somehow am able to avoid becoming homeless these next few months as I apply for grad school, I will get a ps3+a new tv... because, lets face it, neither is worth getting unless you get a new top-of-the-line tv, which together must be at least 2000 bucks... very few people can afford that... unless your parents are buying for you =D)

Here's what I own for the wii:
Resident Evil 4, Mortal Kombat, Smash Bros Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, WarioWare, Guitar Hero, and Cooking Mama (used to have Dewey and Metroid Prime but I sold them)... hardly kids-play... the first two at least. Need I use a razor to slit open a woman's eye to prove myself?

Yeah I know... where are the physics? Didn't all the demos they showed us pride themselves on the physics (Robin William's creature sagged with weight, lol... I wouldn't care if my creatures sagged a ton because they defied gravity so much, better than randomly floating). Maybe it's just in the real game the physics will be back. I sorta like the challenge of making a balanced creature, both functionally and physically.

Sigh, I really wanted to like it but I didn't. I thought it could be hilarious because my dad was into the hari-krishnas back in the day and I always thought hari-krishnas in generally were pretty hilarious and funky (white people into indian spirituality... loler the lady my dad talked to was "krishna-prema")... but unfortunately I didn't laugh either. Boo. It doesn't look terrible, but it wasn't enjoyable either. Noooo! I may see it anyway though.

I think minimalist films are really good for the theater like 2001: A Space Odyssey and Blade Runner etc... They have a lot of power when on the big screen. Also good cult films are fun to watch in the theater... I personally have not slacked in my movie going (to the theater that is) I've just increased at home watching too so total movie-watching has increased. (Although movie ticket prices around my apartment next to my university have exponentially increased, I still go... even though it pains my wallet so.) DX I like going to the theater, and I go alone too... I can't wait for 3D... (That is the Pace/Cameron camera to be used in Avatar... sweet XD)

Yep... I was like WTF is that? Didn't realize it may be a hint of an upcoming film like some have theorized... by the way I did NOT see it in IMAX and I still saw the preview... maybe b/c the theatre I saw it at is famous-ish? (I saw it at the FOX theatre in Westwood next to UCLA.) Or do you mean the featurette?

Oh shiet! Will Yun Lee is on Bionic Woman? I will start watching immediately >
