I will not be buying this game because of the Origin requirement. Why does a single player game require an online account? Why not make it available on all popular digital distribution services?

@fasterthantheworld That makes very little sense. This is a pure money grab from the publisher. If I buy the game new I am supposedly paying to cover the multiplayer costs. If I sell the game to some one else and then they have to pay an online fee (that has already been collected by the publisher) the publisher is making a profit.

For your argument to make any sense there would have to be some kind of recurring fee to support the use of the multiplayer game modes.

As I said above... They should be able to code something together that would convert the PS3 save so that it would be readable on the PC.

I don't see the save files as being the actual issue. They would be able to code something that could convert the save files. I think this probably has more to do with Sony and the cloud save options in PlayStation Plus. Sony wants to be the only one to make money off of cloud saving.

I'm not sure how Steam cloud support will be of any benefit. If I buy Portal 2 on the PS3 do I automatically get access to it on Steam?
