Personally im not sure whether i believe microsoft developed all the natal tech in house while 3dv happened to be working on the same thing, but the official statement is that they were making sure they kept a lock on the tech/concept by acquiring 3dv since their stuff is, theoretically, the same thing as what microsoft's stuff.

Assuming we believe that microsoft was working on this on their own. Im not saying im convinced either way, im just uncertain as to whether they would be saying anything different if the story really was the other way around.

God, how do they expect this to compete using resistive touch screens. I really keep hoping microsoft gets their stuff together and finds a way to compete in this marketspace. I was even digging the zune esque look of the new home screen, but attaching all of this stuff to a dying technology is incredibly stupid. Ive now come to the conclusion microsoft wants to give up all its marketshare to android so a year from now they can pretend to be an underdog and try to get people to care about a winmo 7 that barely matches the first version of osx mobile in terms of usability. And honestly other sins wouldve been forgiven if we saw some semblance of zune integration into the platform. The only explanation i can think of is the remnants of the zune team will have their own press event around September to announce new hardware and possibly the inclusion of zune software on winmo 6.5

Also i love microsoft so this isnt random rambling against them. Im just disappointed. Ive been excited about winmo 7 since those first screens leaked and i never thought it would get delayed into irrelevance like this.

The work free radical has already done for SWB 3 looks easily more impressive than anything we're seeing from pandemic through the new lotr game. I know these are two very different franchises but it keeps me from getting excited by any battlefront announcements talking about a developer other than free radical cause the stuff they leaked looks so good.

Am i reading this story or are we now required to buy dlc in order to play certain playlists?? I love my 360 and am a fan of bungie but forcing people to buy dlc to keep playing multiplayer seems kind of ridiculous. These kinds of playlist changes shouldnt come until the maps they require are free.
