Actually, that sounds kinda good. With the right designers, you could make the game a league of legends overhead graphical style but a real MMORPG with all of the old mechanics and design reinvented with modern day innovations.
I hope they make a deal, I would invest my money in it.
Ive died a good 50 times now, and Ive been playing for 7 hours... and I just discovered the guy in the picture.... he's not giving me troubles in -dying- per se, but he IS really tough... as in... he doesnt... take... damage... and he has some intimidating animations... like casting lightening bolts...
The only way they could move forward with the threat of losing players like this is to have a plan. Expectations like DUST 514 bringing new subscribers to the game.
But you know what, CCP has never made an FPS before, and if they expect this innovative FPS that shares a bandwidth with the single server MMO they have, the only advantage the microtransaction store will give is that all of the subscribers who leave will reduce the bandwidth issues they might incur from linking an online FPS set of servers to an MMO server. Honestly, where is their pride? Where are CCP's core values? I suppose it was always about money... But this is not a smart move.
@Calen I was a member when Gencop was President, and then Valaroo later :D
I loved this game for a LONG time. I do hope they release a new version of the game entirely someday, something like the World of Warcraft engine but designed as Anarchy Online 2.0

The loot worth many times more than a single account can hold.
The lag? Rediculous
The end result? Sometimes if the faction who is winning gets hasty the other one comes down and kills them while they kill Tarasque.
