There's problems with both the external power supply (aka, power "brick") and the main unit itself. Basically, the processor overheats and effects heat sensitive chips around and causes the freezing. That's just a hardware problem. Call of Duty 2 is a whole 'nother story.
I was at one point highly considering selling my console once it comes in, but the system is too awesome for me to sell and wait for new ones later. I just don't have that kind of patience.

Amazon customers are not the only ones angry. I was supposed to be first on second shipment at the Gamecrazy store I reserved at. Second shipment came, and no system for me. Third shipment came, and they only got the freakin' cores. I said hell no, and told them I'd wait for the premiums. And I'm still waiting.
This just gives me more to feel confident in what a friend of mine (who is currently employed at a local Best Buy) had said about their second shipment. I checked my store number and it matched with what he said. 30 units will be coming in, and he also gave me a very similar timeframe.
