Amazon's 17 separate Rock Band 2 listings ... for Nintendo 64

Aug 16th 2008 11:12AM (Joystiq)
I was on Amazon last night and I saw that they were also saying Quake 4 was for the N64.

Comeback? I think so.

That looked like WoW with blood. Even most of the animations looked like they got ripped straight out of the Undead from WoW.

Watch new Halo 3 ad: "Two Soldiers Reminisce"

Sep 22nd 2007 3:47PM (Joystiq)
Well I think I read somewhere that the ad company that does the Believe campaign doesn't know how Halo 3 ends, so they could just be putting the 'memorial' spin on the campaign to draw in people that want a true emotional attachment to their games.

Great ad too. Some of the best acting I've ever seen.

Rumor: Halo movie script leaked

Sep 11th 2007 2:57PM (Joystiq)
If they do manage to get this movie back on track, I really hope it's not about the Chief. I mean, I'd probably see it several times regardless of who it's about, but anyone who's read the Halo novels knows that the Master Chief isn't exactly the most social person in the world, something that doesn't quite fit in with Alex Garland's 'character-development-out-the-ass' style of writing scripts.

Retro Studios taking a Metroid break

Sep 1st 2007 12:20PM (Joystiq)
Metroid is about backtracking, dude. That's what made the original so fun and it's sticking to the roots. Also, I found that 3 contained minimal backtracking when compared to the other two. I can remember only a couple instances (besides the fetch quest) when you were FORCED to go back to a planet.

Also, if you don't like the controls, try switching it out of 'standard' and into 'advanced.' It makes it more Metroid and less Red Steel.
