My 360 got the E-74 just a little after the NXE came out. It also started to freeze up a lot on very graphic heavy/busy games (like mass explosions in Mercs 2.) Then i was playing L4D one day and boom, snow/rain graphic interference on my screen, i go to turn it off then back on and i'm met with a black screen with error in a dozen different languages. 100$ later it's fixed by Microsoft.

Luckily my brother bought that system off me and had it repaired. I went out and with trade ins (NDSLite + a few games, and a 50$ christmas giftcard) bought myself a new Xbox 360 Arcade edition for 6$ cash. Best purchase ever.
